Good tour overall. Our guide was really knowledgeable and shared a lot of background and a lot of details. The downside was that his English wasn't great. We were able to communicate and we learned a lot, but it took a lot of effort to understand all of the details.

Our guide, Maggie, was interesting and spoke good English. A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Chiangmai Mai!

Waste of money. Our guide was disinterested and not informative. She was more interested in trying to take us to factories where we would buy things instead of bringing us to the temples and educating us about the city.

Very informative guide. You get to see a few improvement temples (one of which is on top of a mountain) and hear about the rich history of Chiang Mai.

average at best.... weak guide with low energy and no interest in his job

This was such an excellent tour and our guide, Noi, was amazing! She taught us all about Thai culture and traditions and was very passionate about ensuring we learned the history. She took us to 3 sites and we loved visiting and hearing about the history of each location. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai! You will get an in-depth background on the sites you are seeing and learn so much more then if you went by yourself. Noi was so sweet and even showed us how to write our names in Thai! We will always remember this tour and everything we learned from Noi. Thank you!

Our private tour with Roong from Tour East was fabulous. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the temples and the area's history which we loved. We had an air-conditioned van and enjoyed being showed around the old city. We fell in love with Chiang Mai._br/_ Roong even suggested a great restaurant to us as a locals favourite 'The River Market' and it was possibly some of the best food we've ever eaten. _br/_ Booking through Viator was really easy and we could pay in advance so we didn't dig into our spending money

The guide Bua and driver arrived punctually. The guide's English was very good. The car we travelled in was clean and either reasonably new or very well maintained. The guide ran the tour at the pace that suited us. With only wife and I on the tour, we struck up a rapport and it became like being shown round by a friend or family member. We found the stops very interesting and I'm sure the tour went on longer than was originally scheduled. Very enjoyable and enlightening.

The Chiang Mai City and Temples tour we are rating 3 stars. There was virtually very little info provided by the guide regarding the city itself. The 2 temples we visited were very interesting and beautiful....must sees for Chiang Mai. The guide needs to go back to tourist guide 101 and be more personable and make us, the clients, feel that he, the guide, is actually interested in his job. The driver provided a comfortable and safe driving experience.

Great tour and guide. We went to number of prominent temples and enjoyed having own guide with family to keep you fully informed. Well worth the money.

Our tour guide told us almost nothing during driving and walking. Which was about 90 of the tour time.

There was no city involved. Just two temples that we finished over an hour early so we were given the option of going to a silver and silk factory. The silver one was a huge waste of time and uncomfortable the silk factory and shop was interesting but took 5 minutes. The temple part was fine.
