We were collected punctually from our hotel and by the time the vehicle left the carpark, our guide Ross had memorised the name of every guest. He was particularly kind to the children on board, but had a moment for everyone and showed great consideration throughout the day, ensuring that each person felt like a valued guest._br/_ The tour itself was extremely interesting and we learned much whilst enjoying the various activities and excellent luncheon. Birdcalls, flora and insect life were explained along the various walks and naturally the scenery was beautiful. _br/_ If there was a downside, it was that some of the roads were very winding and hilly, presenting a little problem for those with a tendency towards travel sickness, but every effort was made to ensure all passengers were comfortable._br/_ Ross did a magnificent job and worked very hard to ensure we all had an exceptional day. Expensive. We expected more value for our the money we paid. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Lamington National park was a good walk, but would have liked more time there. Tamborine mountain was not as interesting. _br/_ The place we had Devonshire tea could have been more attractive. the scones were terrible. Lunch was a very basic BBQ.

A general view of the two places, viz:- Lamington National Park and Tamborine Mountain. I am most likely spend 3-4 hours for hiking in the rainforest than just reached the place a hourly moment.

Our trip leader, Tim, was very nice and full of information. During the bus ride, Tim told us about the history of the area. Once at Tamborine Mountain, Tim took his time to explain the nature around us. The lunch was very, very good - high quality and generous portions. Once at O'Reilly's, the tree top walk was unescorted and we were told to return to the bus in only 20 minutes. I would have liked more time during the tree top walk. This tour covers a lot of sights in one day, so you will spend hours in the bus. The time in the bus is broken up through out the day, and the bus is a nice Mercedes. I liked the relaxing pace of the tour and the variety of sights.

We had a great day. Trent, our driver, was very informative, friendly and accommodating. Great fun, awesome scenery. We would highly recommend Southern Cross 4WD tours to everybody. Looking forward to doing it again on our next visit to the Gold Coast.

I think the tour guide was quite a nice guy. He did his best but the tour lacked thrill factor. I feel there was nothing showcased which was specific to Gold Coast. Rain forest tour was available even in Melbourne, Bird feeding is quite common across zoos and national parks in Australia. Even spotting kangaroos is common. In comparison 12 Apostles or Great Barrier reef showcase a unique aspect of nature. The tour was not at all value for money. I DID NOT LIKE THE TOUR AT ALL

Myself and my daughter absolutely loved this tour' Mick our guide was phenomenal! He knew so much and was funny and friendly and made the whole group feel very welcome. The walks were enjoyable the BBQ was excellent. My daughter especially enjoyed learning to throw a boomer-rang and the bird feeding._br/_ Claire and Paige

wasn't the 4wd I was expecting, as it was more of a mini bus that was 4wd capable. nevertheless, get to explore tambourine mountain and what it has to offer. our guide also knows his stuff well. Definitely got my money's worth.
