Unfortunately this trip I snot worth the time invested. It was almost 10 hours and almost 5 of that is in the van getting there. The brick factory tour was a quick walk around a factory and you could see some clay pottery that had been made previously flower pots saw a working kiln. Then a 40 - 50 min boat ride up a canal without much to see. Then a nice lunch, the boat back across the Mekong Delta to the floating market. There were about 6 - 7 boats that made up the market and we went past them in our small boat, turned around and back to the jetty to get in the van for the return trip. Our tour guide did not share a lot of information and in fact slept most of the boat trip.

This was a very enjoyable day. The river cruise was so peaceful and lunch was excellent. Our tour guide, Lam, was just perfect - she knew so much about the area and its history. We highly recommend her.

Good trip, well organised and no hassle. Great way to see the sights and get a feel for this part of the country.

This was one of the highlights of a two week trip to Vietnam. Our guide, Dao, was perfect in every way. She was well spoken and easy to understand. She was informative throughout the trip.

This trip was the highlight of our stay in HCMC. Our guide Lam was a lovely and very interesting lady which made the day fun. The private tour suit our family as Lam could cater to our personal needs and she did that very well. We were very comfortable throughout the trip whether is in the long car drive or on the boat .

The private tour was an excellent way to experience the Mekong. Our guide was very knowledgeable and aimed to please. Boat ride was interesting. The food at the prepared lunch was average.

Was an enjoyable experience sailing along the Mekong River and visiting the Candy Factory and Brick Factory. Had first hand experience on the floating markets which too was quite interesting. Thank you.

excellent guide; wonderful day trip_br/_
the only miscue was that Viator miscommunicated/did not verify with the local tour guide the proper number of participants; nothing that several cell phone calls couldnt solve.

This particular tour was the highlight of our 7 day stay in Saigon. There was only 4 of us on this tour and we had the most amazing guide for the day, [ Thomas, who treated us like family]. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in our air condition mini bus and headed off towards the Mekong. The floating markets, seeing the local confectionary being made, [and sampling it of course], tasting the snake wine, the 5 mile trip across the Mekong to the island where we had a fabulous Vietnamese lunch and a few beers, and our sampan experience along a small canal all made for a truly enjoyable day, and an insight into the Vietnamese culture. The tour lasted approximately 10 hours but can be longer depending on the tides on the river and the traffic back. A very well priced tour for a great day out.

Overall this was a great tour. Got to see so much of the Mekong and it was beautiful. Our tour guide was great till we gave him a tip at th completion of the tour and he went sour. We paid alot of money to go on this tour and we gave generously at then end and it still was not enough. That really upset us and put a bit of a downer on the say!

It turns out we were in the off season and so my husband and I were the only ones on the tour. We thought that was great--until we realized that the guide was hurrying us along to try and finish as quickly as possible. We're usually quick and with no one else to slow us down, we were even quicker. So I'm certain the readers will understand our resentment when we noticed our guide paying more attention to his WATCH than to us. And when he did deign to converse with us, he frequently talked more about himself and his plans to move to the US than the subject matter of the tour. Very disappointing, especially since all our other Viator tours (including Halong Bay) were so delightful.
