My husband and I have been traveling all over Italy and Spain and we live these buses. Perfect way to start your stay in a new city. Helps you decide what you want to see.

We purchased the 2 day hop on hop off bus and went on both the Historic and Modern tour. There are two types of buses they use one this tour, one allows for easy views from the top with open views the other has a bar that is right at eye level preventing a good view. It was also hard to locate the stops, there is a tiny sticker indicating it is a stop. They really need to leverage technology like the Seville Red Hop on Hop off that provides bus tracking within the app as well as the location of the stops within an app that leveraged the phones GPS.

This tour took us to the most important points in the city. No hassle getting on and off. Great staff too. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a good way to get your bearings and see the city before taking tours on specific sites. It provides only top level information, but if you are limited on time this is the way to go. Bus stops are clearly marked.

My group and I took both of the extended tours and it was good. It gives you a good overview of Central/North Madrid. The guided recordings were generally synchronized with the stops, attractions and sites. It was nice to sit on the upper deck of the busses and get a higher view point which helps taking good photos. Be prepared to push and shove with people if you want to get front row seats on the upper deck. We were at the initial bus stop early and we had people who would cut in front of us trying to get on the bus first. Overall, this was a good tour if you want a general overview of historic and modern Madrid.

Definitely a great way to see the highlights of Madrid. And, I also went back to visit a few places thanks to the bus tour exposing them to me in the first place.

Great way to see lots of Madrid, and it was so easy to get around. We got a great price from viator.

We booked a two day ticket but no one from Viator told us that on the second day Madrid would be having a public holiday and that services would not begin until 15.00: this considerably reduced our use of the bus and was a total waste of money for the second day. With someone who is slightly disabled this reduced that amount of sightseeing done and I feel that Viator should have been informed of this from their supplier and informed us. We may then have booked two separate days. Very disappointed and when we spoke to the Madrid travel office they told us that Viator should have informed us when we were booking. Avoid public holidays and question Viator should you be considering booking. Alternatively, go to the Juliet Travel ticket office in Madrid and book - they know most things happening and can advise accordingly.

Fantastic! We really enjoyed the Madrid Tour on the Hop-on Hop-off bus. I highly recommend sitting up on the top deck of the bus, even if it's a bit chilly out. Madrid has some great architecture and gorgeous buildings. The view of the city is amazing from the top of the bus! This is a great way to get around Madrid and see all of the sites.

Great way to get around Madrid. Two lines that cover the city - one from east to west and one from north to south. Buses run in a very timely fashion.

Always a good way to get around a new place. However, as it was raining, all the buses had tops on but some had no windows. The first one was like this and it was freezing downstairs too. They were incredibly busy and on one occasion we did not get on until the fourth bus came along. I accidentally listened to the English commentary for kids but actually it was very informative and amusing as it was told from the perspective of a cat!! Traffic is very busy so progress is slow. We could have walked quicker to most places if the weather had not been so awful.

This tour is a good way to see Madrid. There are two routes, so make sure that you take both of them so that you can see all of the city. Must use your headphones to get the descriptions of landmarks as the tour guide simply tells you which number on the map you are on. Very different from the London Hop on Hop off Tour, but still worth it.

The best way to orientate yourself on the first day in Madrid, Make sure you do both lines.

I think Hop on Hop Off is the best way to get to know a new city or even to those who wish to get to know it for the second time.

Great way to see the city. You can get on and off at will. Whether you want to get the general layout of the city when you are spending several days there, or if you only have one day, I highly recommend this tour.
