This tour is great! It picks you up and drops you off at a central location in NOLA. The tour guide was friendly and personable. He made sure we saw many alligators. He even gave us the opportunity to hold a baby alligator! The boat was covered so the harsh sun did not overwhelm us and we felt safe the entire time. We had a great time. I definitely recommend this tour!

The bus ride out to the swamp was about 30 minutes and was comfortable. We waited 15 minutes on a dock before they let us board the boat. I'm very happy we did this tour vs the very loud air boats. This was a nice peaceful boat ride which gave you time to really sit back, enjoy the local radio music, tour narration, and enjoy the sites. We saw lots of alligators which was enjoyable as they swam right up to the boat. They had a baby alligator for everyone to hold on the boat if you wanted. Our tour guide wasn't very personable, but did a good job explaining the area and history. I wish this tour left at a different time then the air boats on the same dock because it was pretty annoying when they whizzed by with their large waves and spray. Overall it was an enjoyable morning.

Great format, terrific coach driver and a Bayou guide Anson who was fun, informative, but safety conscious too. Just long enough to experience the flavor of the region and share the fun.

I wish I could say that we had a wonderful time, but my husband got very sick on the bus and we had to be let out. We felt very badly about missing the tour and worse if we delayed it for the other guests. Hope someday to come back and try again. :

I know, it was really cheap, so I did not expect a high class natural experience, but it was really a bit too touristic. More entertainment program than everything else. Why do there have to be music in every free minute when the guide is not talking on the boat. Sometimes it is nicer to enjoy silence when you are in nature. Also the white albino alligator was really sad with its small cage without anything green. And why do there have to be an baby alligator in a box on the boat, so everybody could take a picture? If you like animals, do not do that. It is really sad to destroy their habitat, but use them as an entertainment toy is even worse.

This tour was especially fun as I love bayous and swamps. Viewed a lot of alligators, turtles and birds. The guide was very knowledgeable as well as personable. It was a fabulous day. Highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the bayous.

We had a really nice time on the Swamp and Bayou tour. It was a great way to safely see some of the alligators, too. We saw at least six, including a baby! The ship's narrator was very fun, with a lot of great stories and Bayou humor. The only reason I gave this tour four stars instead of five is the company organizing the transportation to and from which is different from the Bayou and Swamp tour company was having bus issues. Their entire media system was down. So, we had no narration or any information given to us either going to or coming from the boat dock. If I wanted silence, I would have just rented an Uber/Lyft out to the bayou! Other than that, it was a nice tour. I'd recommend it as long as the transportation company can get their buses' microphones and TV screens working again.

Thoroughly recommend this reminded me of the Missisippi burning film with the weeping willows and atmospheric swamps filled with Alligators,guide was entertaining and knowledgable.Dont leave New Orleans without experiencing it!

This tour was great. For any first timers, this is the one that I would recommend. They have other means of transportation and different tour groups but I chose this because I was on an actual boat, where I felt safe and higher up off the water. The bus driver that picked us up at our meeting point was very cool dont remember his name :- but he was cool and just pretty much laid out what we needed to to and to it in a timely manner. It was about a 30 mins ride from the dock off Decatur and Toulouse and then roughly another hour if that much for the boat ride. They showed us a video on the way to the boat. The video didnt show very well but you could still hear and make out things they were saying. We used the Gray Line Tour bus. Our bot guide and captain, Captain EJ was funny and knowledgeable as heck, To be honest I only really wanted to do this tour to see the bayous and the alligators which I was able to do. We had about 3 sightings and were able to get pictures of them really close. Overall the tour was great. It was a very rainy day, so if this happens to you please make sure you have or purchase a poncho. The gift shop located where we also do the swamp tour has those for purchase as well, in case you didn't bring one. Would recommend.

Boat trip was good. However, spent too much time getting to/from the bayou from NO and in the gift shop. Total elapsed time 4 hours total time in travel and gift shop 2.5 hours.

This is an excellent and very well put tour. The guide was excellent and knowledgeable. If you are visiting New Orleans for a few days this is definitely something worth the price of admission. Make sure to take your camera as you will be able to capture many great photos.

I took this same tour through Gray Lines several years ago with friends and loved it. It was a great tour with a terrific tour guide. I knew my husband would enjoy it also so I insisted we take this tour on our stay in New Orleans last week. We were taken to a different vendor from before and the trip was a total waste of time. We saw larger alligators in our friend's gated community pond than on this tour. Very, very disappointing!

I recommend doing this in the summer. We only saw one alligator due to the weather. It's a good tour, the bus is convenient and you learn Cajun history on the ride to the Bayou.

Do not even think about going on this tour unless the temperature is 60 degrees or more. When did we find this out that Alligators and Reptiles don't come out unless it is 55 degrees or more, when we were already on the boat freezing. Everyone on this boat was freezing. Only one of the boats were somewhat enclosed, we were on the boat that was totally exposed. They should have cancelled the tour as we only saw three birds. No Snakes. No Alligators. Nothing else. They did not bring a small Alligator on the boat for us to hold as shown in the video. It probably froze to death on an earlier boat ride. Telling us that we would see nothing due to the cold and cancelling the tour or giving us the option would have been nice. But this was not done or offered. Buyer Beware.

Anazing day out. The boat trip through the swamp was fabulous, the captain was very informative and his quick wit was very entertaining. We fed the aligators with marshmallows, took loads of photos and videos. If we had the time during our stay we would have taken this tour again. Absolutely brillia
