Well much to my surprise, the trip took one hour from the airport. The price changed a bit just before departure but at least I was notified by email and took care of the small additional costs,. Wow a very long drive but well worth the result. Taormina is beautiful and high up on a mountain and just 15 minutes to the beach. The driver did not speak much Engilsh so be prepared to have a lot of silence along the way. He drove quickly and carefully. Great job.

Driver was walking into the hotel as we came out of the elevator. Driver was helpful and directed us to check-in at the airport.
