Mr Virak was an amazing tour guide. I felt safe and this trip delivered. Why the Killing Fields were not included was rather odd as this is what I really wanted to see. Was happy to pay more to have the complete tour. The tour delivered and much more. The food at Friends was exceptional. Thank you I definitely recommend this tour.

The private Tour of Phenom Penh City was fantastic especially if you are a history buff like myself. The tour of the Pagodas was great, but the real fascination for me was the visit to the Tuol Sleng prison, S- 21, which was one of many, but the most famous, prisons of the Khemer Rouge regime which beginning April 17, 1975. This is a great place to start if you are tracing the Pol Pot and the Khemer Rouge genocide and the killing fields of Cambodia. What happened here is even more chilling when you realize that these events happened in the 1975- 78 period of Cambodian history. I even met 2 of the only 7 survivors of the 17,000 prisoners sent to S-21. They were there at the site for a book signing and to tell their horrific story of captivity and their lost of family members. I was so touched by the visit that I went back a second time to reflect in disbelief what i had witnessed. Truly amazing that 1.7 million Cambodians could be exterminated in such a short period of time while the world sat on their hands letting such an atrocities happen!

Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda are worth visiting. The guide was helpful. The visit to the jail depicts the torture the Cambodians had undergone.Until unless one visits the place, one cannot feel it.I thank victor.com to make us aware the fact.
