Once we arrived at the Ranch where the horses and the cave are located it was a great fun adventure. Once on site the guides get your suited up in a light weight coverall and rubber boots because you are going to get wet and dirty. Next you have to put on a harness so that the guides can hook you up for repelling down 18 meters into the cave. Then its about a 20 minute horse ride and a 1/2 hour hike to the entrance to the cave. The walk through the cave is about 2 kilometers. About 1/3 of it is in knee to waist deep water with one very short section about 2 feet under water. the guides are there to hang onto you. Watch your step on the way out. Very slippery on the way out._br/_ The bus ride to the ranch and back is a killer about 3 1/2 hours each way. They could also skip breakfast ham and cheese on a dry roll. The lunch was great though. Chicken, pork, rice and beans. Typical Dominican._br/_ We were a family group from 11 to the old guy me at 74. We all had a great time and will talk about for years.

This was hands down one of the most amazing excursions I have ever been on. Our tour guides were kind , knowledgeable , and funny. If you are looking to do something new and have a real adventure then you need to book this excursion. We rode horses, took in the beautiful scenery around the ranch, had a good lunch as well as breakfast, and experienced repelling into the belly of a cave. I highly recommend this tour especially if you are a traveller who wants to escape the resort and really have a memorable time !

Would have given a five but after we came back from the even for lunch. the tour guide asked me why Americans want give dogs chicken bones and as an Animal Rescue and Foster I told him and he said that want happen in the DR and started giving this puppy whole chicken bones, Due out of respect to my worries of this you DONT do it in front of your guest whom is against it!

This tour was truly a one of a kind experience! Carlos, Hendrix, and Carla were great hosts. The drive from Punta Cana was long but very interesting. The cave was amazing and Carlos and Hendrix made everyone feel very safe. The food, especially the lunch afterwards, was delicious! So highly recommended. DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE.

We had such an amazing day with Carlos and Gary and Carmen made us the most delicious meal we had all week. The adventure is definitely challenging for those that may be out of shape. I brought REI water shoes with hiking treads and they were perfect. Highly recommended!!

This was an amazing excursion! There is a lot of hiking and riding horses, a repel about 30-40ft down a tiny dark hole and a hike in the cave and under some water, all i can say was that it was worth the price!

This is a 3 hour ride but you get to see beautiful parts of the Island. Carlos the tour guide is wonderful however, you only get him for the last hour of the ride as you pick him up in a town on the way. Our driver only spoke Spanish and was rude! Not all horses were equal and i got stuck with the horse that did not want to move and the rest of my family was running along as I lagged in back. The hike was beautiful and fun. Wear plenty of bug spray!! The cave was nice and cool and be prepared to get wet! Carlos and Henry were very knowledgeable. At the end we were greeted with a home cooked meal which was the best food we ate our entire stay. This is a full day as we left at 6am and did not get back until after 7pm.

This was one of the best travel outings on a vacation that I have ever done. Would do it again if I ever had the chance, worth every penny. The guides for the day were very entertaining and made the trip, even the river flooding, so much fun!!

It was really great! The tour itself was so fun, and we did a lot of different things- horseback ride, hike, rappel, swim. All you could ask for. The guides were wonderful! Their English was very good and they were very friendly, and took good care of us. :) The food was also bueno!

A fantastic trip. Everything was so well organized, and the guides were great--friendly and knowledgeable. It's a bit of a drive from Punta Cana, but well worth it. The trip provides water, a beverage after the cave exploration and at lunch, and a full lunch with vegetarian options!. The horses were in good condition and a pleasure to ride, and the cave is amazing. The guides were clearly trained in safety and caving, and the equipment was in good condition. I'd recommend being in moderate or better physical condition--it is a bit of a hike, and you'll be glad of the lunch when you get it! All equipment is provided, down to the boots. Bring socks consider knee-highs, even, to protect against rubbing from the boots and then dry socks to change into once you return to the ranch. You can change clothes at the ranch, and lockers are provided. I wore a swimsuit under the overalls they provide, and changed back into dry clothes after. If you are someone who needs sunscreen on all the time, bring waterproof sunscreen or a small tube you can re-apply.

One the best excursions I have ever done in my life. If you want something adventurous, active, different and away from the regular tourist trail then this is for you! Youll see out early 6:15am from your resort and have a long coach ride about 3.5 hours to the Los Haitises National Park region/Hato Mayor del Rey area, passing through several towns on the way. We had a couple of interesting comfort stops with local fayre to buy.

We had a great trip to Fun Fun Cave. Everything was as described. It is a long day from Punta Cana hotels but well worth it. The rappel is completely safe and walking and splashing thru the cave is amazing. We especially enjoyed the guides Carlos and Andre. We would highly recommend this trip. Also, buy the DVD. It's well put together.

Exciting Adventure Tour! Things to know if you are planning to do this excursion - wear a swimsuit and bring a waterproof camera. They provide jumpsuits and boots to wear but you do swim as part of the tour. Earlier reviews made it sound optional - it's not. The guides were really knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure everyone was comfortable. You do need to be in decent shape for this excursion - there is a bit of hiking, but the guides ensure your safety every step of the way.
