Your half-day tour to Corcovado takes you to the Cosme Velho station to catch the cog train. The steep train journey takes you through the dense Atlantic rain forest of Tijuca to the Art Deco statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado mountain. You'll spend up to an hour here with your tour guide, who will show you the sights of Rio from this incredible mountain-top vantage point.
After a wonderful experience, you will be taken back to your hotel in Rio de Janeiro.

The actual tour was just over an hour and was brilliant but nearly 5 hours in the bus which was late in arriving, would have been quicker and probably cheaper just getting a taxi to and from the hotel!

This was a very relaxing first day activity ... They pick you up in comfortable bus and drive you through the city to the base Corcovado Mountain. The guide buys the tickets for the charming cog train, which takes you up to the top of the mountain, with great views. We got about 45 minutes at the top to see the statue and views, which was plenty of time and it went quickly. Our guide was extremely nice. The mountain and statue are basically must-sees for any trip to Rio. Yes, you can figure it out getting there yourself at a cheaper price, but who wants to do that when they've just arrived and are severely jet lagged? _br/_ Two things to be aware of ... The guide on my trip was basically handling logistics. We were given audio guides to learn about Rio, and they weren't that great. They were kind of simplistic and a bit dopey._br/_ The other issue is that the pick-up places are basically around Copacabana and Ipanema. I was staying in a different part of the city, so they wouldn't pick me up at my hotel. I had to take the metro to Copacabana, which was easy enough but not what I had in mind when I booked the trip. So keep that in mind if you're not staying on the beach.

A large group tour but with a fluent, knowledgeable multilingual guide. Unfortunately I didn't realize it's better to take the morning tour, esp if you want ideal pix of the statue behind. It's very crowded up top and the sun angle limits your photos.

This excursion is a self-guided experience that provides you ticketed access to both the Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue. I went midday on a weekday and the statue was PACKED! Add the massive crowd to the rolling high-altitude fog, and youll understand why youll need to be patient when it comes to quality photo opportunities of the statue. Id recommend at least two hours for this excursion to ascend the mountain by cable car longer if youre opting to hike maneuver around the crowds to take in the sights and posted facts and snap awesome pictures! All in all, the excursion is worth the price as roundtrip transportation was included from my hotel. With the transportation included, youre treated to an impromptu tour of the city both going and coming from the attraction. Just remember to pack your patience, and some water.

For 75 you are basically provided transportation in the form of a bus to the cog train. You aren't picked up at your hotel but a nearby hotel. You're given 30-45 minutes to snap photos of the monument and then take the cog train back down. Depending on group size you'll have to wait a bit to board the bus again as lines for the cog train may be awhile.

Unfortunately it was cloudy that afternoon. I would recommend this tour be taken in the morning before the clouds roll in. The statue is very impressive, and imposong. No views because of the clouds.

We had the bad luck of a foggy day so when we got to the top there was nothing to see.....nothing!_br/_ This was by no means the tours fault of course. The 2 stars is because the price of the tour was not justified by the service, let me explain. The tour consisted of getting on a very nice charter bus and listening to a recorded narration on the way to Corcovado. Once at Corcovado the headphones were collected, we boarded the train and headed to the top. Once at the top there was no tour or explanation of what we were seeing or not seeing in this case. So we wandered for an hour and then rode the train back down. Even on the train there was no narration of what we were seeing, history of the area, nothing. We essentially paid for a nice charter bus and train ticket up the mountain. I would hardly call it a tour.

It was amazing, but make sure you go on a good day. The weather is a hit or miss. It was so cloudy we couldn't see the statue. Still, a must do when traveling to Rio!

Excellent tour! Joe was a great guide. Prompt pick up time at the hotel, they gave us a tour of Maracaná, Sambodromo, Praia de Ipanema, etc. We speak spanish and requested the tour in this language. Everything as expected. The Christ and its views are amazing.

Do not Take this tour : the guide forgot to speak in french (only in english and spanish), it was very long to pick up all the travellers (lots of stops) and the guide did not comment the visit when we were there. Prefer your on visit with à taxi pick up.

I had been up Corcovado mountain the day before this tour, but due to misty weather the statue wasn't very visible. Being an iconic landmark in Rio, I just had to go back up on a clear day - it was worth it!

The tour guide was very informative and personable, unfortunately I forgot his name! The cog train through the forest was definitely worth it versus taking a car to the top. The departure time 2pm made it a bit difficult to take pictures sun but we made it work. We went on a Wednesday and it was not crowded no line to enter, but I imagine the weekend to be packed making this tour perfect for those who want to skip the line!

We spent most of our time in the tour bus, bus was late picking us up. We all felt rushed at the Redeemer, there was not enough time to take it all in, get souveneers, and enjoy it._br/_
My advice, spend your $ on something better or just go witgout a tour, at least u would be on your own pace

We really enjoyed this tour. We were picked up promptly at our hotel. Our tourguide was friendly and informative and both the cogtrain ride and the time spent at the statue itself was a lot of fun. Our dropoff after the hotel also went smoothly. We feel like we got a very good value for our money and would use this tour company again.
