A great tour with a great tour guide. I dont remember her name but she was very informative about all the locations and very patient with out requests. Highly recommend this tour. We were in Rio for a family vacation and this was definitely a highlight of our trip. A must do in Rio!

Excellent way to see and experience sugar loaf mountain. A short tour took in several points along the way, including a large modern cathedral, the venue for the Rio carnival, as well as other interesting areas, before arriving at sugar loaf. Two cable car rides with time in between to enjoy the views. The right amount of time allowed at the top and on the return, not rushed at all and our guide leandras - I think thats how you spell his name , was friendly, knowledgable and engaging._br/_ Highly recommended. There was too little time spent on the mountain. There are a host of things to do there: trails and a cafe, but we were rushed. This tour includes a limited bus tour of the city and a visit to the cathedral and that is the problem as those hours cut into time spent on the mountain and everything seen is redundant to other tours that you are likely to take.

Guide was good and Sugarloaf mountain well worth the visit. Tour began late because bus was delayed by Carnival road closures. It took an hour to pick up group from hotel and a torturous return. Tour company should have know this with pick up locations all over Rio. We spent more time on the bus than picking up and dropping off than on Sugarloaf Mountain. I have seen this managed better by tour companies having two separate pick up vehicles and then meeting at one point to start the tour

DO NOT do this tour. It is with the Gray Line company. We did this tour from our cruise ship because it was cheaper than doing the official shore excursion from Norwegian Sun. But I will NEVER do a Gray Line tour again. They picked us up at 8.15am from the ship and then we spent an hour and half just driving around in circles picking up people from other hotels. So the 'official' tour didn't even start till about 10.30am. The bus was NOT AIR-CONDITIONED and it was so hot and stuffy, it was almost 40 degrees celsius in Rio that day! When we told this to the guide she wasn't even apologetic or understanding. And if you're an English speaking tour member like my family was, forget about actually getting a guided tour. The guide basically favoured all the spanish and portuguese people on the bus. We barely understood her. The 'city tour' was essentially an auto-taped pre-recorded radio thing with an earphone and there was so much interference and haptic feedback that you couldn't really hear anything anyways. We were really looking forward to Sugar Loaf but we barely got 15mins up at the mountain before we ushered back down. We spent most of our time on a hot stuffy bus with an un-helpful, useless guide. You're better off just getting private or taxi transport straight to Sugar Loaf. Don't put yourself through the misery that we did. It ruined our whole experience and I will never forgive Gray Line for that.

OK if you Like sitting on a coach for 1hour 20mins awaiting other persons to join you, then it's ok! We were the First Aboard and were Expecting the Reverse unloading, so we Bailed out And took a Taxi! Expensive but we Think well worth it!_br/_ Apart fro a Visit toA Catholic Church which Facade is Probably 1 of the Ugliest we have ever seen which has 4 Exremely Beautiful Stained Glass Windows!_br/_ We would Not Recomend This Tour! Viator Really need to look and Greatly Improve the Overall Experience for the People!

I didn't know what to expect, so glad we went. The Views are amazing, _br/_ Luis was our guide and Ricardo was his cameraman who did a DVD of the tour. optional to buy._br/_ Luis was very helpful by taking a couple of photo shots of us, so we didn't have to take selfies all the time. Its definitely a place to go.

We never got there . The tour company was suppose to contact us to give us a time for the pick up. We tried calling them and emailing them 3 or 4 times but we never made contact. They called that evening to apologized and wanted to take us the next day but we were leaving, so we never got to see Sugar Loaf.

We waited an hour at the phoned pick-up point, but your agent failed to Wave the Flag high enough at the cruise terminal pick-up point, so we missed contact and never made the tour consequently forfeiting the pre paid tour cost.
