I thought this would be a touristy mess. I was very happy with the aquarium and the level of freedom they gave you and the professional handling of the entire event. Highly recommend this and the penguin experience.

We were a little nervous because we thought it was more like having a couple Dive Masters babysitting us but that was not the case. We did have a couple of VERY nice helpful Dive Masters with us but were there more as a dive partner and yes when the sharks got too close 10 or 12 inches they nicely kept them from getting closer. _br/_ I have dove for 25 years and have to say this was one of my highlight dives I have done. I would highly recommend doing it and feel it was well worth the money especially seeing how we did not have to tote dive gear on a plane to get there or rent it. _br/_ One side note is they videoed us and the video was for sale after. We did opt to buy the video and we are very happy with the quality and the job they did so if you are going to do it tuck away a few extra bucks to get the video.

This was an amazing experience. The staff took excellent care of us and really went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable experience. The visibility was perfect and the amount of amazing things to look at was overwhelming. I would recommend this to anyone.

If you are a diver, but have never had the chance to see sharks less than 2 feet away, or at all in the open water this is a unique and safe way to do it. Each diver has their own dive master, and it's a rather interesting to dive with onlookers on the other side of the glass as well. It was awesome, and I would highly recommend it! Make sure to take your gopro and get some close footage!

In December of 2015 my family and I did the dive with the sharks at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. We had a great time. The event was well organized and a lot on fun. One reason we choose to make the trip to Tampa was that The Florida Aquarium will allow divers to carry their own hands free underwater cameras with them on the dive. Additional pictures taken from inside and outside the tank are also available. _br/_ After an orientation we met our dive masters at the top of the Coral Reef tank. Each diver had a dive master with them. We entered the tank through a shark cage. The tank holds 500,000 gallons of salt water. The dive consisted of viewing the abundant sea life from various spots around the tank, some on the bottom and some from the artificial reef areas. The dive lasted 30 minutes. There were huge sand tiger sharks, nurse sharks, a large green moray eel, a sea turtle, and lots of other sea creatures. We had a great time and would recommend activity to any certified diver.

Dive was nice, you can sit on several spots in the aquarium to enjoy the fish, sharks and the turtle. Dive is about 30 minutes. Only bit negative is the 20 minute wait before the dive, because dive is individual. You get a T-shirt and a photo at the end :)

A little more of being in the tank with the sharks (and other marine life) than actual diving. We viewed the sharks for two different locations on the bottom, one from the coral, and another near the exit. But did not swim with them. But the sharks came within an arms length of us. Full dive was 30 minutes just as stated. Entry and exit in and out of the water was smooth and simple. Each diver has their own DM with them the whole time and gave excellent safety/equipment briefings. Cost is a little high, but worth it for a unique experience, and included admission to the aquarium after the dive, a nice tee shirt, and choice of photo. If you have a non-diver (as we did), they will provide an escort that stays with them and points out where the divers are and will be moving to. Very glad we did this.

should be really be called Neil with sharks, as you don't do a lot of diving, its also a bit disconcerting when the Neil/dive guide is hanging onto the on/off fist stage regulator throughout the dive, _br/_ and the photographer needs a bit of training as i paid 40$ for a cd full of out of focus photos. dont waist your money.
