Evening Desert Safari With BBQ Dinner, Henna Painting, Camel Ride and Belly Dance

Experience a host of exciting desert activities and a BBQ dinner on this 6-hour, desert camp expedition from Abu Dhabi, including round-trip transport. Travel to a Bedouin-inspired camp amid the dunes, and throw yourself into the traditional Emirati activities on offer. Enjoy a 4x4 dune-bashing adventure; try sand boarding, camel riding, Henna Painting, Sheesha Smoking; watch belly Dance show; and much more. Rent a quad bike (additional cost) if you wish, and finish with a tasty BBQ.
Meet your Safari Marshal and get in to comfortable 4X4 Land cruiser for transfer at any major hotels or Malls of Abu Dhabi. Then, head out towards Al Khatim Desert on Al Ain Road. Enjoy the surrounding as your safari Marshal tells stories about Abu Dhabi and the customs and traditions that still hold strong in the emirate.
After around 45 mins, arrive at the desert meeting point of the Al Khatim region. Get prepared to enjoy 4x4 for some exhilarating dune bashing, you will visit camel farm where you can have photo shoot.
After Dune bashing you will reach our Arabic themed camp, Settle in one of the cushion-laden tents to enjoy some Arabic coffee and dates, or if you prefer, soda, tea or water. Then, take your pick from the many complimentary activities on offer.
Enjoy a camel ride on the sands, and head off for a spell of adrenaline-pumping sand boarding or quad biking (own expense). You can also get a henna tattoo and dress in traditional Arabic costumer for a souvenir photo!
Later, sip tea around a sunset campfire and watch a fascinating belly dance. Then, feast on a delicious barbecue dinner of foods such as hummus, kebabs and flatbreads, paired with Western dishes.
Your experience then ends with a drop-off back at your original departure point.

Very enjoyable experience. Riding the 4-whhel vehicles in the sand was incredible. There are a lot of optional activities at the camp. The food was good, and the entertainment was very enjoyable. Not a bad way at all to spend an evening while in Abu Dhabi.

What a great adventure! The highlight of the excursion had to be the sandunning with the SUV's. They are very skilled drivers and gave us the opportunity to take some awesome photos. It gets chilli at night so I would suggest taking a light jacket.

Our guide Rashid was professional, very polite and extremely skilled and competent with his driving skills and went out of his way to ensure our experience was fantastic. Our children had a ball riding the camels, sand boarding and henna painting. The food and the entertainment was a great experience. Would recommend this tour to everyone coming to Abu Dhabi.

This afternoon trip was an absolute highlight of our vacation in Abu Dhabi. Organization was perfect, personnel kind and professional, every promise of the advertising was fulfilled up and above our expectations. When dune bashing we enjoyed the thrill of the dashing manoeuvres of highly skilled drivers when feeling absolutely safe in their hands. The stops to the camel farm was exciting and watching the immense empty sea of sand of Rub-al-Khali at sunset was simply breathtaking. The evening hours at the camp provided excellent food and a very good show. In short: something one should not miss when staying in Abu Dhabi, excellent value for money, highly enjoyable. Do it!

We had tons of fun on this tour! The guide was great and the activities were fun. Word of advice - do the ATV'ing, camel riding and sandboarding when you first arrive at the camp, as it's tougher to do those things after dark. Henna tattoo and photo with the bird can be done later on as there is free time after dinner and tons of lighting in the camp area. And don't eat before you go - the hardcore dune bashing is early in the tour so you may lose your lunch! Eat after - there's lots of food included at the camp. Definitely recommend this tour! It was a blast.

I had taken the evening desert safari a couple of years ago and went again with my wife. All aspects were great until the very end of the trip when it was time for stargazing. On my first trip all lights went out and all laid back quietly and took in the view....which was outstanding. On this trip the camp lights went out but too many had their cell phones and ipads out to really get the complete darkness required. Even worse was the incessant chatter and endless selfies with flash! The tour operator should have advised the crowd on the need for total darkness and maybe a few minutes of silence so the starry view could speak the volumes I know it is capable of.

I was a little dissapointed in this. We met aproximately 16 other cars at a meeting point and when through what I thought was quite a tame drive over the desert. The BBQ dinner was tables set up on the groun in the desert for aprox 70 people. The food was ok and served from a cafeteria type set up. The camel ride is actually just a photo of you getting on a camel in a round corral and you are then led around the corral once. The belly dancing was the best part. Overal having done a dinner prior in the desert in Wadi Rum in Jordon this was really dissapointing and if your looking for a purely over the top tourist experience then you may enjoy this.

This is a great trip and well worth the money. The only negative for me was, After booking and paying for myself and family _br/_ including an infint on the outing, I was called on the morning of the trip and was advised that i would have to pay additional moneys for the infint. This fault was blamed on the web site not being updated after a new law covering infants in cars. This was poor customer service making me pay this additional cost, the new total may have made another trip more attractive / viable for my family .

Amazing Fun Evening!_br/_ We had so much fun. Dune bashing was exhilarating. Our guide/driver Nasim made all the difference, he was so friendly checking with us and helping through out the trip. After dune bashing, next was photos on the dunes at sunset, after which we arrived at the camp. Make use of every minute at the camp...camel ride, henna tattoo, sand boarding, Arabic dress up and shisha. Dinner with BBQ chicken and many options. Belly dancing and star gazing capped off the night. Thoroughly recommend.

It was okay for what it was. I guess with it being Ramadan things were cancelled. I went on the same kind of tour in Dubai and had a lot more fun. We weren't really guided on the sand dunes and there were just some things laid our for us to figure it out on our own. The henna design painting was horrible and we washed it off when she was finished. I would definitely recommend doing this in Dubai. It was a lot more fun, informative, and the tour was of higher quality.

The dune bashing was so much fun! It was a little scary at first as you thought you were going to roll over but the drivers are highly trained and it was a unique experience! We liked the sand surfing and the camel ride too! The food was ok but could have been better. Show was good too! Do this!

Unique, our first sand dune ride, friendly, experienced confident driver made it lots of fun. _br/_ Combined with the camels, dance show, henna painting, costume dress up, a well coked, tasty meal with much variety, was a good Abu Dhabi experience._br/_ My only feedback to this group, send email if unable to contact by phone re pick up time change and that motion sickness tablets are important to be taken if this impacts. _br/_ Thanks was great and will recommend.

We had such a fantastic time on this tour! We were picked up from our hotel, then were out dune bashing. After flying over the dunes and taking the token photo on a large dune we had a quick stop at a camel farm before arriving at the camp. The afternoon was full of fun activities followed by dinner

I found the tour well organized and they did deliver all aspects as indicated in the description. The dune bashing was definitely the highlight and met all expectations. The desert banquet was well done and there was lots to take part in to feel the desert vibe. If you were looking for an exhilarating sand boarding experience though this would not be it... just a small trip down at breaknothing speed... Overall though it was a good tour.

Muji was the best driver of all, I am pretty sure. The guy was fantastic over the dune's ride and his professionalism was second to none._br/_ This tour really worth every single penny you pay, there are no exaggerations on the description. Everything you see there including the whatever you can see in the photos is what you are going to experience that day. They are very punctual and the timings were met exactly according to schedule as Muji mentioned. Excellent trip and atmosphere, it is simply a very family friendly tour. Truly recommend !!

This tour was fantastic. Such a wonderful time. I do suggest to people to bring a bottle of water and maybe some tylenol. As the ride can get a little rough and many people did suffer from motion sickness. Once at the camp theres Sprite and water to enjoy for free. The event is loads of fun.

The tour itself was great! Unfortunately we happened to be in Abu Dhabi on the rare occasion that it rains, so it was drizzling on and off the whole time. No fault of the tour. The camp was great. The food was amazing!!!! All of the staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour!

We went with family, driver was well before time for pick up. Which i appreciated a lot._br/_ The safari went extremely smooth, with extremely well maintained Toyota Land Cruisers and the belly dance and dinner event was error free. Our family of 5 all enjoyed this Mum, Dad, 19yo, 17yo and 15yo. I especially loved it, it was fun, well organised and the dune bashing was a highlight, thanks to Rashid. The food was lovely and there was plenty and a variety to suit most tastes. The show was professional and there were plenty of activities to try henna tattoos, shishka smoking, holding a falcon, camel riding, quad bike riding and trying traditional clothing. We tried all the activities on offer, they were all well organised and a bit of easy fun. Everything ran on time and exceeded expectations.

It is so recommendable and it includes almost everything you need to do in Dessert. When photographer takes pictures out of events, give a nice smile. End of tour, they will sell the picture which is only 12-13 and worth it. if you go to Abu Dhabi, I think this is the must item to do.
