It would seem that we picked the worst possible two days to explore Kangaroo Island. The unseasonal wet and extremely cold weather put a dampener on most of the outdoor phases of the excursion. The small aircraft early morning flight did not provide the spectacular views that we had anticipated because of the cloudy weather. But once on the ground and being bussed around the Islands tourist features, staying warm, we enjoyed the unique flora and fauna attributes of the area. The Tea Tree Plantation, the wild life outdoor zoo, the impressive rock formations, and the wild and storming coastline was as interesting and well presented as we had anticipated. My camera thankfully taken by the very courteous bus driver/guide, to the Remarkable Rocks site, produced the most expressive photos of our 3 months stay in the Land of the Wizard. The overnight stay at the Ozone Hotel was extremely comfortable as was the ferry ride back to the mainland. Not sure that we would take the flight again because of the variable weather conditions on this area. Could I suggest that all users of this package be very aware of the location of their hotel in Adelaide as being dropped at a closed Terminal late on the return night can be somewhat stressful? Not sure that the return driver had participated in the courtesy course that was obviously attended by our on-Island guide. Not such a pleasant end to what was overall a great Aussie experience. Great two-day trip. Booked from the U.S. and executed very well locally. We booked our arrival in Adelaide at the Crowne Plaza and pick up was right outside the hotel. Coach to the ferry, and then switch to another coach upon arrival on KI. Spent the night at the Aurora Ozone, which was fantastic. Saw plenty of seals, koalas and kangaroos. Even saw albino kangaroos. Thoroughly recommend this two-day visit to KI. I particularly enjoyed because I hate driving and not having to drive around the island was a huge plus.

Excellent way to see that all Kangaroo Island has to offer. The mini-bus was spacious and comfortable. The driver was full of information along the way picking out sights to see as we went along. The hotel in Kingscote was first rate. I flew back rather than take the ferry crossing and road trip back to Adelaide. I would recommend that otherwise you arrive back late. There was a car at the airport to take me back to my hotel. A bit of trivia for post card enthusiasts, the post office in Kingscote which is right behind the hotel has a special Kangaroo Island cancellation for postcards and envelopes. If I had known I would have sent off a few to friends and family. I would have had time as the second day tour started at 10 a.m. Alas I didn't know about that but it is not the tour fault.

This was a great trip for animal lovers as the wildlife was extensive and varied. Each day started with a visit to a local business eucalyptus oil, honey that were primarily shopping opportunities but then the pace picked up rapidly to include seal lions, koalas, kangaroos, raptors and fur seals. There were also several beautiful landscapes such as Pennington Bay and Remarkable Rocks._br/_ Our driver/tour guide, Jackie, did a remarkable job of dispensing information, driving and keeping everyone on schedule. We stayed at the Aurora ozone Hotel, which was quite nice and offered good meals.

What a brilliant couple of days, definitely recommend this tour, would certainly do it again, but you do need the 2 days._br/_ Guide was very informative, and took us to lots of places you would miss doing the trip on your own._br/_ Cant wait to go back.

If going to Kangaroo Island, definitely take the two day tour. We had Marc as a tour guide, and he was SUPERB! There is so much more to see and do on the 2 day tour compared to the one day tour. We stayed at the Aurora Ozone, which was right on the water we kept the door of our balcony door overlooking the water open to hear the waves at night and also allowed an extra hour of sleep. This has been the highlight of our trip to Australia, so far.

Everything about the trip was fabulous! The coach from my hotel to the ferry, the driver was very informative, the boat trips, the coach on the island, the driver Jacqui, great commentary, the exceptional scenery, the hotel, the food, the visits to interesting places and it was a heap of fun. I have recommended it to quite a few people and hope to go back in Autumn or Winter sometime.

Amazing 2 days. Our guide/driver, Jackie, made this trip a wonderful experience with her extensive knowledge of the island's history and wildlife. We had great weather and have had the most interesting 2 days since arriving in Australia. We travelled from the UK and would recommend this trip to anyone.

Even though the winter weather was cold and WINDY, the experience was amazing! There was so much to see and do on this 2-day tour. Glen provided great commentary and superb service. The lunches were both delicious, and the accommodations at the Aurora Ozone hotel were comfortable.

Very enjoyable 2 days. Glen was our guide and he was great. Lunches on both days were good. Hotel was very good. Unfortunately it was stormy on our last afternoon and we had to go back on the 4.30 ferry instead of the 7.30, which was disappointing.

Early pickup in Adelaide and drive to ferry to get to island. On island the driver/ guide, local gentleman steeped in history and culture of the island, took us to multiple interesting areas to see local commercial activities, honey farm and eucalyptus distillery and a number of sites where we were exposed to indigenous flora and fauna. Visited Flinders-Chase National Park at the west end of the island and saw interesting geologic and historic areas. Accomadations and meals provided were very good, best calamari meal I've every had! Between scheduled stops guide shared local economic and social history.

A highly recommended tour. The guide Glen Wilson was a local KI and he knew the place in and out. Ask anything and you had an answer for it. A breathtaking place to get lost for eternity. Only felt 2 days was far less. Also felt the eucalyptus tour could be replaced with something related to farming. A must do tour for all the holiday enthusiast.

Best of my three week stay in Australia. Lunch on one day was very iffy only could pick from two a Caesar salad or calamari and I dont eat either. Definitely thought a more normal lunch would be provided. But with that aside everything about this trip was wonderful. Watching the Seaguls being fed was really neat. Everything from our guide to Seal Bay to the spectacular birds of prey could not have been better. Well worth the trip.

We did the tour in late November and the weather was lovely--not too hot. There were 40-50 people on the tour and that seemed like a manageable number. We never had to wait for anyone to get back on the bus and we kept on schedule. The activities/sites that were chosen for us were great. We liked visiting with the owners of the bee farm and the eucalyptus distillery and sampling/buying their wares. We especially enjoyed the wildlife portions of the tour. The lunches were delicious and the lodging was nice. Our tour bus driver told us all about Kangaroo Island and answered all our questions. The pick up from the hotel and delivery to and from the airport was so easy and convenient.

At the beginning there was a mix up with the pick-up point in Adelaide causing some fraught moments and a rather disgruntled, though very polite, driver._br/_ Thereafter the tour was the highlight of our trip to Australia, with many sights, animals and good food and accommodation. Overall, excellent.

We really enjoyed this excursion. It was a rather early start but that meant we had a full day on the island even after a long drive and ferry crossing. The bus driver and guide was excellent. The tour made the most of the features of the island and it was particularly exciting to see the wild life. We were glad we flew home and arrived in Adelaide a bit early than the bus as a result.

Would suggest they cut down on the Nature/Animal Reserves and concentrate more on the positives of the Island.

Pleasant trip, packed itinerary, nice food and accommodation. The initial pick up and return drop off trips might be a bit long but you get to view a Doco about the Island on board the ferry too!

We enjoyed our 2 day tour on Kangaroo Island. Warning for anyone that gets motion sickness the ferry moves against the swell so a bit of a rough ride. There was a little confusion about which bus was ours it could have been prevented if they were colour coded so we could find it easily. Enjoyed the close encounter of the sea lions, the bird of prey demonstration, the opportunity to feed kangaroos but the two highlights were the pelican feeding and seeing the koalas at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.

It was truly amazing. Spent two weeks in the Adelaide area and, beyond a doubt, this tour was the best experience of our trip. From spectacular scenery to feeding kangaroo and petting a koala. Took hundreds of photos and couldn't wait to show them off. They are long days with five stops the first and six the second but we'll remember it forever. The hotel in Kingscote was very nice. Food stops were wonderful. Driver was personable and knowledgeable. We NEVER would have found all the wonderful places we visited.

What a FANTASTIC time! This had to definitely be the highlight of our tour in Australia. We had Liz as a tour guide and we couldn't have asked for a better person! He was funny, nice, thoughtful, and knew the land like the back of his hand! The only thing that I really wish wasn't part of this tour was the Parndana Wildlife Park. The birds had no room to fly, the place was in terrible condition, the koalas only had a stump of a tree and had people poking and prodding them all day long. What a prison for these animals. It was a really sad place to visit and almost all of the other guests on the tour thought the same thing. If you love animals, DO NOT go to this place! Why not have the tour see the penguins instead?? I was really disappointed that this was not part of the tour. Other than that, it was great! I LOVED the sanctuary itself!

The tour was excellent from start to finish and was a wonderful overview of a superb Island. The very best thing was our driver, Les, he was quite simply OUTSTANDING and you should cherish him!! On all our travels we have never had a more informed, friendly, humerous and talented guide. The hotel we stayed at also added to the great value for money of a well conceived tour. Congratulations Viator!
