Caves and Dolphin Watching Cruise from Albufeira

Your Caves and Dolphin Watching Cruise begins at the new marina of Albufeira where you will board the boat "Insonia". Cruise along the Algarve coastline between to the Beach of Carvoeiro passing spectacular rock formations on the way.
Visit the grottos or sit back and relax on the deck. Returning to Albufeira the boat travels away from the coast to begin the dolphin search. Keep your eyes on the water surface for the playful schools regularly spotted in these waters. The most common species seen are common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins.
This was great... big boat that went straight out into the ocean where we saw MANY dolphins!!! They then took us to see some caves, had drinks onboard.. showed us some other UNESCO shoreline before going back. highly recommend!

Good. Didn't get to see the Dolphins but this is made clear at the outset. They are wild animals and its not easy to predict where they're going to be. But overall thoroughly enjoyable.

The caves were wonderful, the searching for dolphins for an hour was cold, and without results which is ok, just wish I had brought something warmer to wear.. They did provide us jackets if we asked for them, but you have to wait until the boat stops moving to get one. Make sure you use the restroom prior to boarding as its a long time to wait , and of course no bathrooms on the bouncing speed boat..I think we could have been better prepared if they had informed us ahead of time that it gets cold, and prepare us for the elderly that may not have strong bladders..

The tour was great, didn't get to see any of the Dolphins, however, just the sheer number of cave and their spectacular beauty was in and of itself worth the tour.

We arrived about 30 minutes early as instructed, but the staff at the booth on site weren't overly interested in making people feel welcome, or in answering questions beyond simple yes or no. They largely ignored all of us as we arrived, pointing to an area where we could sit and then continued chatting amongst themselves and checking their phones.

Amazing. Very lucky to see 2 different species of dolphin. Very rare so extremely privileged that day. First a group of common dolphins. Then about 10 minutes later heading back towards the coastline for the cave bit of the trip, we saw a group of bottlenose dolphins. Just wow! The coastline is stunning. Our guide and captain were very informative. Some of the tiny beaches - in caves - are only accessible by boat or swimming. If we go back to the Algarve area - this is one trip we will defo b doing again!

Our reservation was with Dream Wave Algarve and it could not have been better_br/_ From the moment we checked in we knew we were with a great company_br/_ Beatriz,,,Andreia,,Tiago,,,Pedro,t,,,Diarley,,,were all fantastic_br/_ Andreia really saved the day for all of us 4..._br/_ They are other companis offering almost the same trip but this one seems to be the favorite_br/_ Saw dolphins and went to the caves,,,was perfect

Did this cruise end of February. The coastline is unique and beautiful. Since it was cold, didn't see any dolphins etc. It was very cold on the sea in a dinghy, and if you were sitting in the middle, very difficult to take good pictures without somebody,s head in the way. On the way back the boat was going very fast and one often got sprayed with cold water.Many companies within Albufeira do not do this cruise till April and I think they are smart about it. Until the weather gets very warm, it would be advisable to wear a jacket, even gloves and some thing to keep your neck warm

January 31st 2017 found us on a relaxing coastline tour, beautiful caves and views....would have been more interesting for me if the guides had been able to share their knowledge of the flora and fauna.

Could have been better if we could enter the cave of Benagil. But I believe it was not possible due to the heavy wind and rough sea. Otherwise, we have enjoyed the trip really well. Highly recommended if you want love adventure and nature.

We were really disappointed with this trip. We didn't see any dolphins but that's fine as these are wild animals and it's to be expected. Although I do wonder how many people actually get to see dolphins?. What was really disappointing was the cave tour, I was really looking forward to exploring the caves, but we only went inside one and the rest we passed at almost breakneck speed. As we were going past these caves so fast, it became quite boring as all the caves pretty much looked the same and once you've seen one you've seen them all.

This was brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone. We didn't see any dolphins or whales as there was thick sea fog the day we went out, but the staff really tried to take us out further to sea to avoid the fog and find some dolphins. The sea caves are truly remarkable and beautiful and the views were amazing. The whole ride was exhilirating and great value for money!! Me and my boyfriend loved it and would love to go back and do it again.

We got lucky because not every tour sees the dolphins but we saw schools of them swimming and jumping all around the boat the ride out can be rather bumpy depending on sea conditions shop if you're motion sensitive I'd avoid it. The cave portion was very cool you actually go inside them in the boat.. Beautiful weather helped to

Great thrilling trip. Well worth a go if your into boat trips, which we are. Didn't get to see any Dolphins unfortunately, but that cannot be guaranteed of course. Quite a delay at Gate 4 waiting to board, with no obvious reason why, but worth the wait. Tip! The parking.... Although the underground parking says Free for 3 hours, it is actually FREE all day and it keeps the car cool for your return. Very capable crew gave you confidence they knew what they were doing. As ex navy, coastguard and fast boat crew myself, it is always comforting if the crew display knowledge. The only annoyance was the skipper was looking at his mobile too often, but I never thought it detracted from his skill in handling the boat. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and am happy to recommend it.

We had a fabulous time on this cave/dolphin cruise. Some of the beaches were so gorgeous and the fact that we saw many dolphins was just awesome. We were hoping to see at least one but were so happy to see so many. It is a trip I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of doing it. You will have a great time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, in between the bouts of nausea and fearing for my life :- The boat departs from the Albufeira Marina and heads along the coast. The speed of the boat and the drivers habit of performing outlandish turns keeps you gripping the edge of your seat. It's quite a bumpy ride. The coastline and caves of the Algarve are breath taking and the hidden beaches accessible only by boat or intrepid swimmers are a sight to behold. For the price I would have been happy just to explore the coastline and caves... but there's more... After heading for what seemed to be an eternity into the middle of the ocean we finally came upon a school of dolphins. Sightings are not guaranteed but we were lucky on the day. Do dress warmly and with a waterproof jacket as you might get drenched. Also, bring some cash along for the souvenir photo. Well priced and nicely packaged. Thank you Dream Wave for the wonderful experience.

It was a really fun ride, we saw lots of dolphins, lots more than we expected. Speeding over the ocean was really cool The guide was nice, but didn't explain anything beyond "this beach is beach xyz" and "those are dolphins". Well worth it's money
