Enjoy a 5-hour experience from Alicante as you disembark on this city's port. You will be transported to the city of Alcoy, where you will discover all the history and culture behind the city and learn the meaning behind their local Moors and Christians festivities.

Start this 5-hour experience travelling to Alcoy where the first stop will be the Museum of Festivities, where you will learn the historical background of this city and the explanation behind their Moors and Christians festivities.   You will then head towards the beautiful church of Saint George to admire the historic Neo-Romanesque building with Byzantine decorations. As you explore its interior part, listen to the fascinating story of Saint George, patron saint of their local festivities.   You will continue this tour visiting one of Santiago Calatrava’s constructions: the Llotja de Saint George, a singular building that simulates the skeleton of a dragon.

Shortly after that you will enjoy a short walking tour along one of the main streets of the city where the local festivities's parade passes through. Be amazed at the many modernist houses you will see there reflecting the economic boom experienced by the city in the early 20th century.   Once the tour finishes, you will head back to Alicante and will be dropped off at the port to continue your journey.
