Explore the Amalfi Coast and Capri on a private full-day cruise, the most scenic way to experience these stunning parts of southern Italy. Aboard an elegant speedboat or classic Italian wooden boat (your choice), let your private captain take you past the towns of Amalfi, Positano, Praiano and Nerano. Marvel at the Faraglioni rock formations and the Li Galli private islands and nature reserve, stopping en route to swim. Cross the Bay of Naples to the Island of Capri, where you’ll have free time for sightseeing at the Villa San Michele and Gardens of Augustus.
Your private full-day cruise departs from Amalfi, Positano or Praiano. You have the choice of two types of boats: a 28-foot (8.5-meter) or 32-foot (10-meter) speedboat or a classic Italian wooden boat, called a gozzo. Board your private vessel at the pier and relax as your expert captain takes you along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast. You'll be on the boat for six to seven hours, depending on how long you want to take for lunch, optional sightseeing and swimming.
Enjoy views of the coast's highlights, such as the beautiful bay of Conca dei Marini (depending on which town you depart from) and the private islands and natural reserve of Li Galli, offering a beautiful panorama of Positano and Capri. Admire the town of Amalfi, filled with five-star hotels, chic boutiques and restaurants, and snap photos of the famous Faraglioni rock formations — you'll even pass right through an arched one! Near the town of Furore, pass a wonderful little turquoise fjord with a bridge where a diving competition is held every year (it was also the filming location of the Italian film Amore). Admire the typical fishing villages of Praiano and Nerano, cruise past the famous San Pietro Hotel, and take in a stunning panorama of Positano. If you wish, you can stop at small hidden coves or beaches along the way to take a dip. You can even swim below the former villa of famous Italian actress Sophia Loren. Then cross the Bay of Naples to Capri and circumnavigate the entire island, stopping to swim in various coves and lagoons, check out the rock formations and learn a bit about the island. View cliff-top Casa Malaparte, the Punta Carena lighthouse and Marina Piccola, a famous docking spot for luxury yachts. You’ll also see the dazzling Blue Grotto, once the private bath house of Roman Emperor Tiberius; the Green Grotto, where you can swim under a natural arc; and the White Grotto, a natural rock formation in the shape of the Virgin Mary. Hop off to visit the Blue Grotto if you wish (own expense). Finally, dock at Marina Grande for free time on the beautiful Island of Capri. Have lunch and people-watch at a sidewalk café, shop for lemon soaps in town and then do some sightseeing. Walk through the gardens of Villa San Michele, learn about Tiberius at Villa Jovis, take in the views from Mt Solaro, have a drink at chic Hotel Quisisana or visit the terraced Gardens of Augustus. Your captain will give you recommendations and directions, or can call you a taxi if you wish. After your time on Capri, board the boat and make your return journey along the coast, arriving back in Amalfi, Positano or Praiano in the evening.
This was one of the best parts of our trip. Captain Giovanni was amazing. We ended up doing a tour of the coast instead of Capri, which I was glad we picked the Blue Grotto was apparently closed that day. The Speedboat was spacious and relaxing and Giovanni brought us to a lunch spot on the cliff that is very hard to get to by land slightly west of Amalfi. Over the course of the trip we got to swim three separate times including swimming in caves and a secluded beach that is not reachable by land. Giovanni had beer and Proseco on board and was also a great photographer. It was also extremely convenient considering he was able to pick us up and drop us off right at the dock at our hotel. Cost comparison against private boat rentals in the area and offered by the hotel had this one at the best value. I would not have done it any different and I highly recommend this Tour.

This excursion is a must do! Seeing the Amalfi Coast from a boat is the only way to go! So beautiful and our tour guide was flexible and let us decide what we did and where we went.

This was the highlight of our holiday - all 4 of our kids thought it was the best day of the entire holiday and we had a wonderful holiday!._br/_ The boat 38 ft speed boat was gorgeous and our guide was lovely - just the right balance between informative but not intrusive. We stopped at a beach restaurant that was one of the best meals I have ever had. Plenty of opportunities to swim off the boat, snorkel, swim in grottos, visit deserted beaches accessible only by boat and see the beautiful amalfi coast from the water, while relaxing and sunbathing on the boat. The whole day was great! Expensive but worth it!!

The tour along the Amalfi Coast was the highlight of our family's trip in Italy. Our captain was extremely accommodating and he took us into some amazing coves and caves. He also took us to a great restaurant on the coast. This is an absolute must when visiting Positano!

Thank you Ivan for an absolutely wonderful day!! Viator Valeria was very responsive with the booking and logistics and Ivan picked us up in the beautiful boat on time and we cruised around the Amalfi Coast - including Capri, the Blue Grotto although lines were too long to enter, the Green Grotto, etc..for 8 hours. There were only 4 of us on the boat which was perfect. It was truly a highlight of our trip!!

WOW. First off-- this is worth every penny. Valeria got in touch with us the day before to confirm details and make sure we knew where to go and that we had all the information. We were picked up from the Amalfi dock by Ivan. He was so warm and accommodating right away and made sure we were comfortable. He gave us two options of Itineraries for the day and we decided to do the Capri option. Not only did we get to see amazing sights but we didn't have to deal with a crowded tour boat. We went around the Island of Capri, stopped to check out the Grotto Azura and after he took us to another less crowded Grotto called the green cave where we could jump off the boat and swim through to the other side. Halfway through the day Valeria called to make sure we were enjoying our time and everything was ok. It was so sweet of her to check in.

This was an incredible tour! By far the best thing we did while on the Amalfi coast. Evan, our guide, was wonderful! He had a lot of information about the coast and took us around not only to Capri, but also some small fishing villages along the way. We even got to stop for lunch per his recommendation and the BEST restaurant. It is definitely worth the price to have a small private boat for the day. We would absolutely do this again!!

This was the best day! Our tour guide was easy to find and he even called the Hotel prior to our departure time since the winds were high we weren't going to be able to go to a certain island so he wanted to call to make sure we still wanted to go or reschedule! _br/_ We ended up going and it poured rain for 3 hours - I was so pleased on the company - he dropped us off for lunch and kept the boat safe - he would meet up with us every hour or so to see if we needed anything - we then got a call from the office making sure we didn't want to change dates or if we wanted to try and beat the weather and we did since our travel plans didn't allow otherwise

We had a great day cruise along the Amalfi coast, stopping for swimming and lunch at a small beach with a great restaurant. Our boat captain was great and very accommodating to all of our requests. It was the perfect day! Our Captain, Antonio, took excellent care of us. It was such a joy to have the boat to ourselves. He took us anywhere we wanted to go and had great ideas as well. Best tour of our trip!!!! Our captain Noslen was the perfect host. He had snacks and drinks for us, took us to all the best swimming holes, made our lunch reservation and let my son age 11 drive the boat. We had such a good time we booked him for the very next day. Don't miss this one!

We had a 32-foot speedboat that was new and very clean and took a full-day private boat tour from Amalfi to Capri. All went as planned. Our captain, Emmanuel, was a very nice guy and accommodated our requests for swimming, dining and sights. Capri was crowded and we chose not to go to the town, but saw the grottos, but had lunch at a wonderful restaurant on the west side of the island. My daughters rode on the cushioned bow feeling like superstars. The captain stopped anywhere we wanted for our photos and dips into the water. The highlight of our 10-day trip to Italy and certainly a must!

We took a full-day private boat tour from Amalfi to Capri. All went as planned. Our captain, Ivan, was such a nice guy and accommodated our requests for amount of time on the island, sights to see by boat, etc. Capri was a bit crowded and too commercial for our taste, but it is beautiful nonetheless. The chair lift ride is well worth it...the most awesome views!!
