The desert is full of mountains and a reddish hue. Carry on to the coastal city on the Red Sea, Aqaba where you can enjoy the gorgeous sea and amazing climate. Last but not least off to visit the first natural spa in the world the Dead Sea! Its calm shining water glowing from its scorching sun known for the concentration of salt and minerals, which makes it a therapeutic as well as a unique swimming experience not to be missed.

Day 1: Amman Airport – Petra (B, D) 245 KM
Transfer from Amman Queen Alia International Airport to hotel in Petra. Dinner and overnight in Petra hotel.

Day 2: Petra - Wadi Rum (B, D) 140 KM
After breakfast, depart to Petra to visit the Nabatean Red Rose City of Petra, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A city carved in stone more than 2000 years ago to dominate the trade routes of ancient Arabia. First, you will walk the “siq”, a narrow path of 1.2 kilometers, which is the main entrance to the city. At the end of the “siq”, you will see the treasury "Khazneh" - which was believed to hold countless treasures. The first view of the "Khazneh" is breath-taking. Other monuments you will visit are the Theatre, and the Royal Tombs. Drive to Wadi Rum. Dinner and overnight in Wadi Rum tents.

Day 3: Wadi Rum - Aqaba (B, D) 95 KM
After breakfast depart to visit Wadi Rum, called the valley of moon where the movie Lawrence of Arabia was filmed for a classic 2 hours visit of Wadi Rum in a 4x4 local jeeps. Wadi Rum is a uniquely shaped massive mountain that rose amongst the rosy red sand of the desert with towering cliffs of various brownish, reddish, and golden colors. Then transfer to Aqaba. Dinner and overnight in Aqaba hotel.

Day 4: Aqaba – Dead Sea (B, D) 295 KM
Breakfast, free time at leisure in Aqaba then transfer to Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight hotel Dead Sea.

Day 5: Dead Sea transfer Amman Airport (B) 75 KM
Breakfast, free time at leisure in the Dead Sea then transfer to Amman Queen Alia International Airport.

I went to Jordan in March which is before the heavy tourist season which made it nice to see a lot of the sites without bumping into a lot of other tourists. The driver/guide was very professional and friendly. He was on time the first day and his car had wifi and let me charge my phone. He also spoke very good english. I chose the three star package and the hotels were all decent and included breakfast and dinner so all I had to pay for was lunch, tips, and anything extra. The Petra guide spoke very good english and was very funny. Also at Petra, there are a lot of vendors who try and force you to buy gifts. The guide at Wadi Rum was also nice and it was very relaxing and peaceful driving around all the sand dunes and seeing rock formations. The tent I had had its own toilet and shower. Petra, in my opinion, was bigger in reality than what I ever saw in pictures or from movies. Aqaba is mainly a resort town and the Red Sea was nice and very clear. You can also see Egypt, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.
