Relax and unwind on this private, full-day trip that includes entrance to a swimming pool, private beach, and outdoor showers at a hotel with a fully licensed bar, restaurant, and snacks.

As this is a private tour, the precise timings of arrival and departure are up to you: 9am is generally a good time to leave Amman. It takes around an hour in your private air-conditioned vehicle to descend to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, at an impressive 1378 feet (420 meters) below sea level.

Sparsely populated and serene, the area is surrounded by mountains to the east and rolling hills to the west giving the Dead Sea its unique beauty. And the therapeutic benefits of Dead Sea, sun, water, mud, and air have been known for centuries.

Your driver will show you into the hotel where you can base yourself for the day, enjoying the swimming pool, private beach, showers, and changing rooms, as well as a fully licensed bar and food offering (own expense). Should you wish to try a classic spa treatment, a full menu is available (own expense).

Once you're settled in, just follow the path to the beach, and apply the rich, soothing mud and tingling salts to your skin. Pose for photos as you float in the Dead Sea: due to the mineral content, the water is hyper-buoyant, making it almost impossible to sink. Returning before dark is recommended: many guests choose to leave at 4 or 5pm in winter and 6pm or 7pm in summer. You'll generally be back at your hotel between 5 and 8pm.
