The Rijksmuseum was nice and we could have spent a longer time there. The hop on/off boat had 5-6 stops which probably wasn't ideal. Loaded on the western side of the canal and weren't many stops on the eastern side.

Loved Amsterdam and the 48-hour Viatour hop-on hop-off boat tour was the best way to kick-off the adventure! The waterway tour gave us a chance to map the city and know where we wanted to go and how water shapes the city. The audio was very helpful although it may have been best to have an audio-set to limit the narrative to one specific language at a time. Highly recommended as a tour!

It was very easy to change our vouchers for tickets and find the museum canal boat. The museum boat gave us a chance to take some photos of Amsterdam and see some of the sights on the way to the Rijksmuseum. Having tickets for the museum saved us queueing , which was important because we were only on a day trip. The museum canal boat does a circular tour so we had chance to see more sights on the way back to the station. This tour was great for a days vist to Amsterdam.

Good choice so wee could hop off or just enjoy the whole trip several times. Only problem was the construction in the area so had to walk further to another stop...nothing to do about that. Information on the bus was good and audible.

It was a little difficult to find this company at first as there are at least three operators which have their own stops, and we had to walk to many locations and finally found this operator, however the canal boat was relaxing and there are seats with tables. The drivers were courteous and the boats were clean. It also saves time having to buy the museum ticket at the door.

Boat tour was excellent but there were 2 persons smoking for the whole journey even though boat is non smoking. Operator even smiled and said hashish but made no attempt to tell them to stop or to get off and smoke. This caused discomfort for others on board and for this reason I would not recommend

After spending about 30 minutes trying to find the correct canal boat, my husband went to the Rijksmuseum and was able to walk right in as there was no queue. Sadly, as our cruise was leaving early, we couldnt spend any time wandering around Amsterdam. The commentary on the boat was OK.

This is a go at your own pace tour. It was great as you can hop on and hop off the canal boat and see more than just the Rijksmuseum. Just touring touring the canals was a great experience and exploring the things of interest. I also booked a ticket for Van Gough's museum on the same day as they were so close to each other only a 5 minute walk.

Great. We did all 3 lines of the Hop-on Hop-off boat and it was a great way to get around the city. I would suggest a multi day ticket if you have the time to be able to take your time and see all the sights. Museum was very nice but very crowded. At least the ticket let us skip the lines and go right in.

Good and relaxing way to see Amsterdam. The museum had a game we could play with the kids for an additional $5. It included an iPod like tablet with clues to find the secret word. Good way to keep them interested.

It was a real disappointment.The boat trips don't allow hopping off you go back to where you started from which means you must take other transportation to move about.It sounds like you can use the boatrides as transportation but that doesn't work.We were happy we had advanced reservations to the museum because everywhere you went there were long lines and the tickets allowed us to go in the fast line The boats were actually sold out but.We did take one half hour ride.I didn't think we got our moneys worth at all.Sorry this is so negative but that was how it was for us I would not do that again.
