Although the rain and snow came down, the Hop-On Hop-Off Canal trip was well worth the money, the tickets for Hermitage Museum were changed and we were given entry to the Rijks Museum instead, a good few hours.

At most stops we had to wait about 45 to 50 minutes for a boat to come by. We could have walked faster to the next attraction. We booked for a 48 hr pass and would have been better just for 24 hours.

Excellent way to get around and see the sights. Frequent, uncrowded, easy to board. Late afternoon trips from tourist sites were very crowded. On one occasion we were stranded at Central Station when pilot ended his day but we were able to use convenient trolley to return to our hotel. Would use next time in Amsterdam. What a beautiful, vibrant and energetic city!

We were very disappointed in your tour. We finally found the boat and got on it at the central station. We got off at the market stop and then waited 2 hours and no boat to continue showed up. Our call to your office told us that the boats no longer stopped there but for some reason they let us off at the large windmill dock. We then walked to the Hermitage museum and had to pay extra to see the Van Gogh paintings._br/_
Will not recommend your tour again._br/_

As it was raining we stayed on the boat for a full trip. Halfway through we had a changeover of drivers. Our young woman driver negotiated brilliantly through narrow spaces and as well as the recorded commentary she gave some interesting asides._br/_
Our only criticism: there should be clearer markings on each landing jetty as to which boats you can pick up and also an indication of where to find the jetty. We were never told that we had to change the paper voucher for tickets at the Rijksmuseum station. Anon
