Fascinating tour and the museum was absolutely wonderful. I regret not having more days in this beautiful city where everyone is so friendly.

If you love Van Gogh like I do you will want to allow lots of time for this museum. What a wonderful experience! The canal boats were fun and informative. All in all an excellent experience.

The canal cruise is okay. But the HOP ON/HOP OFF canal cruise goes the same route and IS BETTER.

Van Gogh Museum was amazing experience. The Canal cruise was very useful because you see everything from a different angle. The buildings are just unbelievable. I thought all the locals were very helpful wherever you met them.

It was nice but not great the audio system did not work properly._br/_ Their needs to be a hands on talk not a pre recorded._br/_ Not sorry I went but the experience could have been a lot better.

We bought tickets ahead of arrival through Viator, which we have done many times before. Makes the process so easy. We thoroughly enjoyed this museum and would go again. We were intrigued by Van Gogh's work. Also the canal cruise was easy to find and fun. You can't go to Amsterdam without going on a canal cruise.

A great package deal! I was staying around the museum district so made my way to both activities within a couple of minutes walk.

Was not able to get a ticket to the Van Gogh museum unless we wanted to go at 8PM... got Riksmuseum tickets instead.

Great canal tour and museum. Be warned though that even if you buy these advanced Van Gogh tickets it does NOT mean you will get in. You still have to go early to the tourist office to reserve your time and if you don and #39;t they will and do run out of tickets. Prepaid or not!

We got a unique perspective of the city, especially the old part, and avoided the crowds. Also, we were not aware an appointment was necessary for the Van Gogh Museum so we were very happy those arrangements were made.

The tour was very enjoyable and it was lovely to see the canals and stunning buildings that line them. Only thing I would say was it lacked the authenticity of a real guide with a very cheesy audio guide. However, for a lovely trip along the canal, I'd recommend it.

We only had a few hours to spend in Amsterdam and decided to give this tour a go.... and we are so glad we did! The canal cruise gave us a beautiful view of Amsterdam and the Van Gogh museum was a great way to end our day. Highly recommend this tour!

Good canal cruise and the Van Gogh Museum was great BUT the tour is advertised as having Priority Access. This wasn't the case - we got vouchers to be exchanged for tickets so we still had to stand in line, Luckily for us we arrived early so we didn't have to queue for long, but anyone arriving later might have had severe delays. With hindsight we would have bought the museum tickets direct via the website and booked a separate canal cruise.

Not as great as I'd hoped, the audio was repetitive or out of time with the actual sites and a bit boring if you go during the day..... Photos aren't great if taken inside as limited view from the boat

Arrived on a day of a major city marathon and all buses were closed for the day we scheduled. Office staff were great and exchanged our trip to a canal adventure. Gave us the opportunity to see all of the city highlights at our own leisure.

Knowing that we had a short time in Amsterdam, I chose to book a tour with Viatour. The directions provided were absolutely terrible and we spent valuable time getting lost. We also still had to wait in line at the Van Gogh museum to convert our voucher into tickets. Not what we expected. The result is that we rushed through the museum because we had to catch the cruise at a certain time. The reality is that there are endless opportunities to book the canal cruises and/or museum tours/city tours in Amsterdam. The hotel concierges can easily arrange these too. Don't do what we did and run around Amsterdam on a wild goose chase. Your time and money is better spent booking it personally when you get there.

The canal cruise was good. The voucher for the Van Gogh Museum was of no advantage. The queue for those with vouchers was longer than the queue for tickets. We queued for an hour in the rain only to be told it would be another hour before we got in. We left and returned the next morning when we got in almost immediately. This wasted a lot of our limited time in Amsterdam.

The canal cruise was a very informative tour. It was difficult to take photos unless you were lucky enough to get a seat along the outside of the boat which we weren't. The Van Gogh Museum was very interesting and well presented.

A 75 minute canal cruise viewing Amsterdam from a different angle. A good way to mark in your mind places to revisit. Highly recommended.

An excellent way to orient to the city and have a fast pass to enter the museum. Well worth it.

Went as part of a group of 6, had a brilliant time, Loved the river cruise and got to see a lot of Amsterdam we wouldn and #39;t have seen otherwise. It was also very convenient for us to be able to have fast track tickets for the museum, which was also a brilliant experience. Good value for money!

Review by:   Asta B,    June 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Because it was rainy and cold, we didn and #39;t see anything. The boat was stinky, plus the boat company was on strike that day so our boat trip was delayed and we had to wait under the rain and nobody really cared about it. I am sure it would be better another time, just bad luck.

The canal cruise was great. However even with a prepaid ticket to the Van Gogh museum, I had to queue in the rain for an hour and a half before I could go into the museum. The museum itself was really interesting with the beautiful paintings.

The Van Gogh Museum was a must see- simply breathtaking, but make sure you have enough time if you are an art lover to see it all. The cruise was really good too- definitely recommend others to take advantage of this.

Nice historical tour. The museum was very educational - I wished I had more time to see all the museums. Amsterdam can easily be a one week vacation in itself!

A perfect start to our stay! Very comfortable, lovely views as glass windows and roof, and very good commentary. But also periods of silence so we could absorb the atmosphere. The captain was excellent, pointing out items being mentioned as we went past them and occasionally gave comments himself.

My boyfriend and I thought the canal cruise was a great way to get a taste for the city. The combination ticket was very helpful as we did not have to wait in line to enter the Van Gogh Museum! The museum was worth the hours we spent inside-both the main exhibits and the pop up exhibit were wonderful!

Not a great experience. Had to wait 2 hours to get into museum. Should have got a specific time instead of just a voucher

1. Loved the boat tour._br/_ 2. Could n't use the Van Gogh tickets as it was the last thing we were doing before flying back and we weren't allowed in the museum with our cabin bags. There is no cloakroom to check them in and we had no time to leave them at Central Station and then go back to the Van Gogh. Very disappointed in deed.

Nice cruise...too bad it was raining, but we stayed warm and dry. Thoroughly enjoyed the Van Gogh Museum.

Bait and switch! Picture showed glass top boat and reviews told of free pizza and wine and we got a wooden roof with terrible sight lines and not a morsal of food. Van Gogh Museum was fabulous!
