On a 75-minute city canal cruise, glide along the iconic canals of Amsterdam aboard a luxurious boat. As you take in the scenery of bridges and historical homes, see for yourself why Amsterdam's canal ring has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You may go any time during operating hours on the day you book.
Board your sightseeing cruise in central Amsterdam, and pass by the city's top sights in a relaxing way.
Your luxury cruise boat offers a unique vantage point for taking photos of this beautiful city and attractions such as Westerkerk, the Anne Frank House, City Hall, and the 'Golden Bend.' On board, put on the provided personal audio system to hear recorded commentary from a guide. This is the ideal way to enjoy the Dutch capital for first-time visitors.
A great way to experience Amsterdam. Start with the canal tour to get a good feel for the city overall.

Well worth it! You really get to see the City and it allows us to imagine historically the ships coming into the merchants homes with goods!

This tour was really quite terrible. There were not enough seats, thus no headphones so we didn't even get to hear the tour guide. I am not sure what the problem was, but it was a total waste.

This was a nice way to see the city from the canals. We were tired from walking, so it was a nice break. The sound system was not very good though and hard to hear at time. Besides that, we had a very memorable time! You really need to see Amsterdam from the water!

Pleasant but not very entertaining. Seemed like the same thing throughout the cruise. It was a nice boat ride, but we would have liked to see more of the interesting things beside just the smallest house.

Locations are out of the way. The volume is too low to hear the guide. Honestly, would not recommend this excursion.

Great value clear audio giving a good insight into Amsterdam canals._br/_ Worth it

Breaking the ice in the river tour, was amazing in itself! The tour guide was very informative, the indoor heated seating was comfortable. We were able to see many sites through the city and view the out edges of town. Worth the money to go.

Enjoyable tour with well executed commentary. Would recommend.

Nice tour. Was good to have an enclosed boat on a cold day, but the heat was on full blast, was a bit too warm. Saw some beautiful homes and sights of the city.

Really good trip over 24 hours. Nice and warm and very nice town.

Interesting cruise, seeing the canals in and out. Perhaps the night cruise would be _br/_ more interesting because of the lights.

Wonderful! Enjoyed every minute. What a great way to see the city.

A great way to explore this glorious city by boat - a short tram ride from downtown takes you to the appropriate pier for departure. Value for money - unfortunately I experienced a little rain during the canal cruise - would definitely do again on another trip to Amsterdam.

Great way to see the canals!

It was great! I wish it did not rain so i can get a good picture! Amsterdam is awesome! I will definitely come back. I just loved that i booked a hotel very closed to all the attractions. Apollo Museum Hotel, it's not a five star hotel but it's in a good location.

A bit disjointed and with so many canal cruises not easy to find the one we were booked on. A rainy afternoon but the highlight was being given a squeegee to clear the windows from the inside so you could see out. Eventually opened the window to take photos. A different perspective of Amsterdam from the canal with good commentary. May have given it a higher rating if the weather was better and we could take reasonable photos. Not necessarily the fault of the cruise line.

Lots of interesting information. An annoying tourist group was on board with me, which was not the fault of the Canal Vruise.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic.
Review by: Mabird, October 2017
Canal tour was good. It was available in many languages and very informative. Boat captain did an incredible job in navigating through the canals. However, it was too crowded and too many screaming kids/babies.
Review by: Robert W, October 2017
Excellent canal cruise. The boat pilot added interesting details about sights that we passed._br/_ The trip was just the right length, about 75 minutes. Very enjoyable.

This is a must-do cruise trip for any first-time visitor to Amsterdam. Advance online booking for this 75 minutes cruise for the desired day through viator was very convenient. Enjoyed it thoroughly!

This is a great way to see the city. There was some technical issues with the audio automated tour guide description but otherwise an enjoyable activity

Extremely enjoyable and informative canal tour of the city. A great way to take a break from active sightseeing. Was impressed with how much of the city was covered.

Boring commentary and wouldn't recommend
Review by: Ann F, September 2017
I thought this cruise was overpriced and the commentary was totally flimsy and manufactured. You would do much better going on this cruise if you buy an IAmserdam card where you get it for free as part of the package. Rip off. and we are viator fans!

We really enjoyed our tour around the canals of Amsterdam._br/_ We had an on-line print out of our voucher, which we gave to the boat co-ordinator and got straight on the boat._br/_ We asked to wait for the next boat as it was very busy when we turned up, this was fine and we were shown where to stand to enable us to get first on the next boat._br/_ This trip is very good value for money._br/_ :-

We took this 1 hour canal cruise in the early evening after arriving in Amsterdam. It was pleasant the driver told us a lot about the buildings and places. We enjoyed it again, and would suggest it to anyone just arriving to get out into the fresh air!

This was a very relaxing way to see and learn about Amsterdam's canals, highly recommended way to spend an hour.

Good explanations and great views!
Review by: Graham A, August 2017
A really lovely cruise with plenty of information and background. We particularly enjoyed the map on the table which enabled us to track our progress during the cruise. It also gave us a picture of the layout of Amsterdam. A minor point was that there were some periods of silence in the commentary which made us wonder if the earphones were still working - perhaps a little light music might maintain contact. However we had a splendid cruise and learned much about Amsterdam.

It was nice to see the view by canal but the captain seemed bored so it made for a boring tour
as I said before this was slightly better than the bus.
Review by: Lauren E, July 2017
A great, quick way to see the city! I really enjoyed the information they gave during the tour as it was a nice introduction to the city and how it was built. Highly recommend!
Review by: DAVID S, July 2017
Jetty for boat is nowhere near the city centre._br/_ To get to it from train station area you need to get a tram or bus._br/_ So that leads to more confusion and uncertainty when you are in a new city._br/_ Too much hassle for a tourist to do that when there are numerous other firms doing similar trips on the doorstep of station._br/_ Never went on trip with Blue Boat company as no idea how long it would take to get jetty or how to find it._br/_ Disappointed that jetty location not the easiest to find so booking turned out worthless and an expense lost.

Great way to get to know the main places in Amsterdam and thereafter explore on your own.

A way to see some of the sights in Amsterdam but not all. It could be worth it to see what to explore further later.
Review by: Sandra P, May 2017
This was a great way to get an sense of this city. The best way to do this cruise it to get on at the start.
Review by: patricia f, May 2017
It was really busy and we reserved a tour. When we got to the place there wasn't anything available. A total rip off from my opinion. They should tell you in black and white you have to reserve the time well in advance!

Boat trip itself is worth the price. The process of exchanging your voucher for a ticket and then boarding the boat could be run better.
Review by: Amanda R, April 2017
This is a brilliant way to see Amsterdam and get a taste of the city via the canals before exploring on foot, or bike! The audio guide was helpful and informative and the whole experience was brilliant from booking to taking the cruise. We are going to return to Amsterdam next year and will do the evening cruise at that point. Can't recommend this highly enough....great time had by both of us.

Tour provided a good overview of the city. Narrated recording was average and not particularly easy to hear or listen to. Headphones were generally uncomfortable. After a while, just enjoyed the view and boat ride.

Review by: Glen E, January 2017
Great tour! The tour offered audio in 14 different languages, the staff of the boats were friendly and were very accommodating. When it was something historic or touristy to see, they made everyone aware. The boats themselves had the option to close the top of the boat in the event it rained. The tops were clear/see through so if it did rain, you would still be able to see outside. We would absolutely take this tour again!
Review by: Pitts4fun, January 2017
The canal tour itself was good but the boat driver was not very friendly. Thought she would be a little more interested in the tour of her city. The canal tour is a must do tho just hope you get a friendlier boat driver.
