Your shore excursion to the Keukenhof Gardens departs from central Amsterdam, only a short walk away from the cruise ship terminals. You'll be picked up by comfortable luxury coach and together with your knowledgeable guide, you'll discover the beautiful landscapes en route to Keukenhof. You'll drive through the beautiful Dutch countryside, passing vibrant and colorful tulip fields along the way.

Choose from three different departure times during the day with all tours lasting five hours with three hours free time in the gardens. There are several restaurants within the park or you're welcome to bring along a picnic lunch to enjoy at one of the many benches and picnic spots.

The Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields are open for a limited time each year; while the staff at Keukenhof Gardens works very hard to ensure the seven million tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other spring bulbs are in bloom during this eight-week period, the cycle of blooming flowers depends heavily on weather conditions. You are guaranteed to see a mixture of flowers in bloom from March to May, but April travel dates are recommended for the greatest chance to see the gardens at their very best, including the tulips.

This was one of the main reasons for my visit to The Netherlands the tulips. The flowers are so beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. I was there in May when the flowers were in full bloom. It is a self guided tour of the flowers but the tour company give you ample time to be able to visit the whole garden. I would recommend this to people of all ages, as it is that beautiful. There is a restaurant and plenty of souvenir shops as well as a coffee stand. Try the mint tea, it is amazing! This is a tour everyone should take...

The afternoon tour from Amsterdam on April 7th fit our schedule after departing our cruise in Rotterdam that morning. We walked to the local vendor from our hotel and joined others going on the same tour. The tour guide described the tour as well sites along the way in several different languages matching the needs to those on the tour. Anna was also able to respond to questions in the person's preferred language. After 45 minutes or so we arrived at the gardens and were given a map describing the various places. Although not all the flowers were in full bloom, the gardens were fabulous - breathtaking. A chilly wind made spending time in several of the pavilions a welcome reprieve for us from Phoenix, AZ. I can understand while one wants to visit several times during the season as the landscape is continually changing with different plants blooming at different times. The 3 hours went by quickly. We would highly recommend this special place for those travelling to Amsterdam in the Spring.

Great tour. The Keukenhof Gardens were absolutely beautiful. The only glitch was the morning check in. We didn't know that we had to turn in our vouchers for tickets. We got to the meeting spot early - before it was open - so went for a cup of coffee. When we returned, we saw a woman in front of the meeting spot with a Keukenhof sign on a pole so we followed her to the bus. When we tried to board they asked for our tickets. People - it is crazy busy at the tourist office at 8:30. My advice for others is to stop by the office the day before in the afternoon and exchange your voucher for a ticket then. Otherwise it starts the tour on a unnecessarily frenzied note. Other than that - the trip was great.

The gardens were gorgeous, and we especially enjoyed the indoor exhibits. Very crowded due to the short season, and didn't care for the cheesy entertainment bits, but otherwise, it was a great visit.

It was the day after the new King took the throne and Amsterdam was still very busy and suffering from a big hangover. Our bus picking us up was 45 minutes late due to heavy traffic and again 30 minutes late picking us up at the Keukenhof gardens and then the driver had to take a 30 minute break because he had been driving to long.By the time we arrived at our drop off point we were 2 hours late and barely made our cruise ship while other travellers had to make airport connections and were very upset with the whole situation. It spoiled a visit to a wonderful gardens that everyone should see. Ever though the Netherlands had a late spring many of the flowers were out in bloom...a fantastic sight not to be missed.

This was an excellent trip. The Keukenhof gardens were spectacular. The tour information on the coach was also very good.
