Amsterdam Super Saver: City Sightseeing Tour plus Half-Day Trip to Delft, The Hague and Madurodam

Amsterdam, Netherlands

This Amsterdam Super Saver combines two half-day tours into one memorable day, giving you a great value for your money. Start the morning with a fully guided sightseeing tour of Amsterdam’s highlights including St Nicholas Church, the Rijksmuseum, the Red Light District and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed canals. Then, in the afternoon, leave the hustle and bustle of the city and head to the countryside to visit the picturesque towns of Delft and The Hague, as well as at the miniature city of Madurodam.

Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour (Morning)
Discover the romantic city of Amsterdam in the comfort of your luxury, air-conditioned coach on a sightseeing tour that’s perfect for first-time visitors. Your knowledgeable guide will point out the city’s highlights including the Royal Palace, the Van Gogh Museum, St Nicholas Church, the Rijksmuseum, the Red Light District, the National Monument, the Skinny Bridge, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed canals and Albert Cuyp Market. You will also visit a windmill on the River Amstel and stop at a diamond factory, where you can see how gems are polished using traditional methods.

Following your guided tour of Amsterdam, enjoy free time to explore the city or just relax and have lunch (own expense) before embarking on your afternoon tour at 2:30pm.

Delft and The Hague Half-Day Trip (Afternoon)
Aboard your luxury coach, leave Amsterdam behind and travel to the Dutch countryside. Your first stop will be the beautiful town of Delft, where you will visit a famous Delftware maker, Delftse Pauw. This world-renowned blue-and-white pottery became famous as a 17th-century duplicate of Chinese porcelain. Next, discover the beautiful architecture of the town’s numerous churches such as the Old Church, the Wallon Church and the Maria Van Jesse Church. From Delft, continue your journey to The Hague, the former capital of the Netherlands. Pass such famous sites as the Houses of Parliament, Peace Palace and the Binnenhof. Lastly, visit Holland's famous miniature town, Madurodam, where you'll have an hour to wander among the exquisite miniature models of famous Holland attractions, as well as the world's largest miniature railway!
After your tour, head back to Amsterdam with your comfortable coach.

We had the guided tour in the morning from a comfortable air-conditioned bus. Amsterdam hit a record-high the day that we were there. We did not find many hotels or restaurants with air-conditioning. The city of delft is precious. We enjoyed driving through the Hague. Madurodan was a nice surprise. I would not have gone there had it not be included on the tour but it was well worth our time

The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and provided very informative descriptions and details of the places that we visited on the tour. They provided a wonderful sightseeing tour of Amsterdam which we thoroughly enjoyed. Delft was a fantastic place to visit and The Hague was very interesting and a beautiful city with loads of history. I was very pleased with the tour overall and thought it was a great value for the money! I would highly recommend!

I recommend this one. It was a lot, but it was not overwhelming or anything. My tour guide was super cool and was very informative and knew a lot. He also spoke English, Dutch, and Spanish so that was really cool. You get time to walk around Delft and visiting the Delft museum was gorgeous! The Hague was really pretty, but you don't get to spend any time there, but you can enjoy the Dutch countryside while you're going. Madurodam was cute too.

Lovely Tour. Had an awesome time. Only thing towards the end it was getting dark and if they had started the tour around 2.00 would ve been ideal. Cot we got caught to the traffic also Cos the tour starts after 3.00_br/_ So Maduradom it was late when we went and we missed a lot of it.

The city sightseeing tour was OK, but nothing exceptional. The half-day trip to Delft, The Hague, and Madurodam was great--a really good way to see the Netherlands outside Amsterdam in our case.

This is a superb trip to undertake. You get to have a good feel of the city. Madurodam was awesome with the miniature garden of Amsterdam making you spell-bound.

Long day, perhaps the day could have been done in reverse, _br/_ city sightseeing in the afternoon, Too long in Delft, which only left time for a quick bus trip_br/_ Around The Hague, photos on the run disappointing. Madurodam was excellent_br/_ Only had an hour here but could have spent much longer. Last stop and the sun_br/_ Had long disappeared very cold wind, so probably an hour was enough. Would have_br/_ Liked to see it in the sunshine

The City Tour is misnamed. We saw very little of the city--very, very disappointing. It was 2 1/2 hours and we spent more than an hour at a diamond factory we had a short intro to the diamond industry very basic and then most of the time was spent on a sales pitch. I feel that we wasted time that we could have done something interesting.

This trip was more than an hour outside of town. Delft is a cute town, however you don't get to spen musch time there. I'd rather they eliminate Madurodam. But the guides were very knowledgeable.

We were a little disapointed on this tour. First of all, it said we were going to pass thru the red light district, secondly we thought we were going to the diamond factory and tour The Hague. We did none of these with the exception of driving around the area of where The Hague is but that was the extent of it. The visit to the Delft factory was interesting but could have had a little more time.

Our city tour of Amsterdam was illuminating and generally very worthwhile. We visited a diamond factory within the city and had a beautiful windmill photo opportunity just outside of Amsterdam. The tour bus/coach was comfortable, and our guide was both entertaining and very knowledgeable. The only improvement opportunity was the approximately three hour gap between the end of the city tour and the next segment, a half day trip to Delft, The Hague and Madurodam. Both segments should have been combined into a single seamless tour, which would have been much more efficient.

I had a most enjoyable time. Both morning and afternoon tours were worth their value for money and I came away with a renewed appreciation for Amsterdam, the Hague and Delft. The checking in process was quick and easy and all staff were helpful. The bus rides were smooth and comfortable. The information given by both commentators was excellent and thorough. The walking tour to the specific sites was adequate in terms of distance and time. However I would suggest that the initial walking distance to catch the bus be shortened because it was a hot day and the pace of walking to the bus stop could have been slowed down because there were folk who either had special needs or who were elderly who could not walk as fast as everyone else. Thank you for a great experience. - Dr Doseena Fergie

The bus trip of both tours covered lots of sites. Unfortuantely most of them were on the left side of the bus leaving the rest of us to wonder what we were looking at. Couldn't even get pictures without other riders heads in the way. The Delft visit to the pottery store had too large of groups. By the time those of us at the back got into the area that the guide was talking about they were moving on so we lost alot of information. The town of Delft was very nice but too bad most of the stores were closed.

City sightseeing was informative but abit boring because you do not get to get off the bus, except to visit a diamon factory (boring)..._br/_ Tour started late._br/_ Most of the shops in Delft were closed and didn and #39;t get to see much of The Hague due to traffic delays. Disappointing .

A little too fast. Never saw some of the things listed. Delft tour was very interesting. The miniature city was nice to see, however as we are near Legoland in So California, it is a little small.

I especially enjoyed Delft because I have always loved the pottery and it was interesting seeing it made. I would have liked to have more time to spend there. The Hague was amazing and we enjoyed the bus tour through the city. I had never heard of Madurodam but it was unbelieveable and so precise to the details. This tour is worth the money and gives you an overview in a short time.

The city sightseeing portion of the tour was a bit disappointing. It was all in a bus and we had like one opportunity to get out and snap some pictures. Additionally, we found out maybe we didn't read properly that the tour was not concurrent. We had about a 2 hour time frame in between the first tour and the second tour that we had to kill time on which meant we had to rearrange our plans for the evening as a result. Would have like to have that more clearly identified on the tour description. However, Delft is just wonderful and we would have wanted to stay there even longer. Some of my Dutch colleagues live in Delft and they had told me I needed to come there. Loved that portion of the tour.

We missed the City sightseeing tour. The tour was to begin at 9 a.m. We couldn't find the place and we called the tour operators minutes before 9 to tell them we were on our way. The operator asked us to come soon. We reached the place minutes before 9 a.m. But the tour had left. We were then given tickets of the hop on hop off bus for the city tour.

The Amsterdam half day tour was great - not too crowded and very informative. I was a little disappointed in the afternoon part to Delft though. There were just too many people on the tour, it was crowded, and we couldn't even hear the tour guide speaking while in the Delft factory. While we were in the first room seeing the master painter at work, we had other people on a different tour pushing through the room to get past us onto the next section

City Tour disappointing in we did not have any idea what tour guide was indicating a building. Also did not get to Red Light District. Diamonds tour was great. _br/_ Trip to Delft Etc. was awesome and deserves a 5 for must see to believe.

The guide, Marianne Goedhart, was exceptional. The tour of Amsterdam gave a great overview for the city, its history and attractions. The time spent at the diamond factory was a real treat! We thoroughly enjoyed the Delft factory with the craftsmen at work. The town square visit was a good opportunity for shopping and individual sightseeing. We were in The Hague just following the latest war crimes conviction. That really brought home the meaning of this city's significance in the world. The evening visit to the Madurodam had the added attraction all the little lights being on in the tiny houses. Would recommend this pair of tours to give a flavor of the area to help decide areas to visit on an extended time in the area. It was perfect for our two day stay.

The afternoon tour should have left earlier to avoid all the traffic. Stop in Delft plaza was waste of time. Would rather have been able to inside of building in The Hague.

Enjoyed morning in Amsterdam even though I had spent the day before on the Hop On/Hop Off bus. Delft and The Hague are great places to visit but not enough time when they are covered in an afternoon. Felt rushed and had to miss opportunities to get to know the towns better.

Everything was excellent except for the tour in The Hague. There was confusion when we went for the walking tour. Folks with problems walking were not warned ahead of time, and we had to return to the drop off point to pick up one person who did not hear that the bus was to pick us up at a different place.

The Amsterdam city tour was very lacking. No Anne Frank House, no Red Light District. The guide was repeating herself in at least 3 languages. We were often passed the site by the time it was being referred to. No historical depth to comments. Coster Diamonds was packed full of other groups and not interesting. Delft and the Hague were rushed. Would not recommend tour. Smaller group sizes, one language per tour, more detail and information, more time outside of Amsterdam.

The city tour gives just enough info so you can decide what you really need to explore more closely. The tour of Delft was great. The Hauge was a very interesting place. Could have done without the stop at the diamond store though.

The morning tour allowed us to get our bearings around Amsterdam. For the afternoon tour we saw some of the countryside on the way to the Delft factory. The morning trip was a great way to get an overview of the city. Would have enjoyed a longer stop over in Delft and the Hague rather than the amount of time in Madurodam but all in all it was well worth it.

Review by:   Glenn,    October 2013 Review: 3 star rating: Worth doing
The bus was comfortable, the tour guide informative. The only reason I give this tour a mere 3 is that not enough time was devoted to the actual stops. To devote only six hours, including travel time, to four stops (after the Amsterdam city tour) is really cramming way too much stuff into that much time. We had to cut our visit to Madurodam short due to time constraints. I would not do this tour again.

Review by:   John B,    September 2013 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
The bus was comfortable. Our only complaint was the tour information. Headsets would have been perfect. The tour guide would point out something and those of us in the back of the bus couldn't see it until we had moved onto something else. Only those in the front of the bus knew what to look at.

An excellent set of tours - both guides were well informed and passed along useful information and told us stories we were not aware of. I'd recommend both tours.
