Six illustrious citizens of Amsterdam came together on 15 September 1881 to breathe life into the ‘Provisional Committee to build a concert hall’. The building's grand opening was 7 years later on 11 April 1888. During a 75 minutes tour with our English tour guide you can listen to anecdotes drawn from the rich history of the building.
Take a look behind the scenes and catch a glimpse of parts of the building that are usually hidden from view. You get access to the attic and the changing rooms, as well as experience the maze of passageways beneath the Main Hall.
