Holland in One Day Sightseeing Tour

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Experience the best of the Netherlands in one day on this sightseeing tour from Amsterdam! Visit the city of Rotterdam, admire famous Delft pottery in Delft, see where the Dutch government is located in The Hague and explore the miniature park of Madurodam. Your knowledgeable local guide will share anecdotes and history about the attractions you visit and point out other landmarks along the way. This whirlwind day trip is an ideal way to cover the best of the Netherlands in a short period of time!

You'll be picked up from central Amsterdam in the morning for your full-day tour of Holland's highlights. Throughout the day, your informative guide will share facts, stories and anecdotes about the Netherlands' history, politics, culture, arts, architecture and more.
First, travel by comfortable coach to Rotterdam, where you'll take a 30-minute city tour and see the experimental architecture and eclectic collection of buildings that make Rotterdam so unique. Then climb the 606-foot (185-meter) Euromast sightseeing tower for spectacular views of Rotterdam, the port and the surrounding area. Take your time soaking up the scenery — you have about an hour here.

Next, take a 1-hour tour of the Royal Delft, one of the famous Delft Blue pottery makers in the country. Watch a demonstration to see how this iconic blue-and-white pottery is made. Originally a duplicate of Chinese porcelain, the production of Delft pottery began in the 17th-century. Hundreds of years later, production of this beautiful, beloved earthenware pottery is still going strong. After your Royal Delft visit, spend an hour exploring the picturesque city of Delft, and stop for lunch (own expense).
Continue on to The Hague, the seat of the Dutch government. Learn about the importance of this historic city on a 30-minute tour, during which you'll see notable sights and landmarks including the Houses of Parliament.

Finally, your last visit will be the miniature city of Madurodam.

Your action-packed sightseeing tour ends in central Amsterdam in the evening.

Superb--I would highly recommend this tour! We saw so much in just one day, really got a feel for the country in a brief time. Excellent tour guide, wonderful information, perfect balance of guided elements and free time distributed throughout the tour. Comfortable bus, great views.

this tour was great, but it's almost the same as the rotterdam, delft, the hague tour. only differences is one of the factories we toured that makes creamics was bigger, we get a panoramic view of the city, and we go to a museum dedicated to a dutch world war 2 hero. overall the tour was good, but to much to spend

Tour was amazing. Really got to see parts of The Netherlands I never thought I’d see. I can’t even think of a highlight because it was all great. I guess I’d have to say the Peace Palace and the Delft Factory were the best parts.

Was very impressed with this tour. We had just enough time at each destination and our tour guide was excellent. We happened to take this tour on the same day there was a terrible windstorm. Our bus driver drove safety and our tour guide communicated well with us about the plans for the day. Because of the storm, Madurodam closed unexpectedly before we arrived. We were able to catch a glimpse from the reception area, but we weren't able to go inside. Our guide gave each of us a free drink in Delft because of this, which was appreciated. There is a stop in Delft for lunch, and my friend and I ate at the restaurant the tour group went to. This cut our time in Delft very short and the food/service wasn't very good. We wished we had grabbed food from the small marked that was in the middle of the square, and I recommend those taking the tour either bring a snack or grab street food to maximize their time in Delft. Overall, would highly recommend this tour. For just 100, we saw a great deal that we wouldn't have otherwise seen on our trip to Holland.

Most enjoyable trip, in case you are in Amsterdam for a short duration, would recommend this tour to see Holland. Madrudam and Rotterdam were beautiful. We went i winters, I am sure will be more beautiful in summers. It was a fun trip.

On a cold wet day we went to Rotterdam, Hague and Delph and other towns in Holland. Driver and guide were very good. Diamond factory not an attraction for everyone. But Rotterdam tower was good though cold and snowy. Food market too at Rotterdam,is exaggerated. The tour could become more interesting because there is one day invested. But worth it.

We really enjoyed the tour of The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam. Madurodam the tiny town was neat, but I really wish they would've skipped it for actual time in The Hague instead of just a bus tour. Madurodam is great for small children, but the tour was all adults. I feel like that should be a separate tour for people with small children.

Excellent tour if you are in Holland for a short period of time. The tour guide was awesome and everything was well explained and well organized

Review by:   Christopher R,    November 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
I had great hopes for this tour however, it never quite lived up to what was anticipated. Although many nice destinations were included, we never had much time in any one place, and we never really were able to see much. Felt like the whole day was wasted just seeing a few things from afar, but not really taking much at all. There are other tours that bring much more of what Holland has to offer. Don't waste your day on this one.

Very Wonderful tour! Felt a little rushed at times, this could be due to Inconsiderate Others not returning to the bus at the requested time!!

We were very glad that we took this tour. We were able to see and learn about many attractions on the way. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We never felt rushed. He was very considerate of everyone, old and young alike. He made this trip worthwhile. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had limited time to see The Netherlands and found this tour to be great. The bus trip was good, the tour leader very knowledgeable and the stops in Delft, Rotterdam and The Hague valuable. This trip was totally worth the investment and would absolutely recommend it!

The one day tour of Holland was OK, nothing spectacular. Rotterdam and Delft were very nice but there was too much time spent in The Hague looking at embassies of different countries. I mean really, who cares? That time could have been much better spent by giving us more time at the last stop of the tour: Madurodam. This is an amazing place, built many years ago by a wealthy family as a memorial to their son who was killed in WW2, which represents Holland in miniature. Would love to have had more than 45 minutes here. So much to see and we had to rush through it.

This tour was an outstanding value, very comprehensive, and great fun! Seeing some highlights of Amsterdam en route, various attractions along the motorway/local roads, the historic, yet modern, city of Rotterdam with highlights Euromast Tower, with amazing views of the Port of Rotterdam and the entire city landscape and modern downtown with architectural highlights including the Food Hall was exciting. I also greatly enjoyed the City of Utrecht a quintessential Dutch city with a classical market square, as well as the noted Delft factory informative and fun tour. It was also wonderful to visit the Hague/Peace Palace. The visit to Madurodam, with the amazing miniature settings of Holland was a treat. The entire tour was fast-paced, but not rushed. The tour guide was outstanding--with an amazing command of Dutch history and culture, and the driver was very skilled and accommodating. Highly recommend this tour.

Stopped at the most important points of interest and was well-paced. Never felt rushed. Spectacular views from the Euromast tower (great for selfies!), but Madurodam was my favourite and is an absolute must-see!

It was a terrific trip but parts of Rotterdam were closed off and we couldn't visit some places. The guide was excellent, the driver had a bad day - he had people doing stupid things in front of the bus and had to brake violently several times. Apart from those things, it was a very good day. The visit to The Hague was a second time for us the last was in 1977! and we had a guided tour.

Eric was good. He was not really with us entire time he kinda stop by town and left us to do own touring. We went to Rotterdam market, tower. At tower it was very windy. Blue dish factory was interesting. It's nice to see how things are made there. Manderdome?, miniture city was interested. I thought it would have entire planet, but it was only covered Holland. Over it was nice to trip be outside of Amsterdam, got to see other part of Holland. We had boat ticket, but it was so dark to see anything since we got back around 7pm and got on around 9pm after dinner.

In terms of available tours, this best met what I was looking for. However, the inclusion of Madurodam wasn't a good fit and doesn't suit everyone. I would gladly have spent more time in delft and skipped madurodam. My number 1 recommendation: take your own lunch - there simply isn't enough time to warrant the time spent even though the restaraunt was quick.

The highlight of the tour was Delft, and I wish I had spent more time there. I also enjoyed the Rotterdam panoramic tower, Hague and Madurodam. The first stop at Rotterdam was a huge waste of time and I would preferred to spent this time in Delft. The guide was not helpful and his explanations were so boring that more than one time I heard people snoring on the bus.

Review by:   Ryan W,    September 2017 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
The tour itself could have been great. Unless you want 90 of your tour in Spanish instead of English use someone else. The tour guide spoke very little English and most spoke in Spanish the entire time. We reached out to the tour company and they didn't care. If English is your primary language, you should avoid this tour and company.

Visit a city was very helpful to plan our day but the Zoo was so big and amazing we spent the whole afternoon there and still did not see it all. Will defiantly use it again when we go to Athens later this year.

What a disappointment! Our tour guide was so bored and boring! He could barely bring himself to point out sites. As far as any interesting facts and anecdotes - well forget it, he was not the man! The best stop of the day was at Madurodam, where it was self exploration - what an enchanting tourist attraction. Apart from this, the day ended up being looong and nothing more than a bus trip. By mid afternoon, I was so over it, all I wanted was to get back to my hotel in Amsterdam. I cannot rate this tour as I have barely any worthwhile memories of it...but I have to give at least 1 star to post by review, but I don't mean it Would I recommend this tour? Yes, why not, I only hope you get a better tour guide than the one we had - he is a dud!!!!

Definitely worth it if you're looking for a whirlwind tour of some of the more known/important sites in the Netherlands! Rotterdam, The Hague, Delft... the tour of the Royal Delft factory was phenomenal, and the little museum they have there was so beautiful.

This tour wasn't available as scheduled and I'm deeply disappointed. We placed on a similar tour which was excellent but longer. The tour was excellent although I wish there had been more time for shopping. Activities were well thought out and the service was great. Would definitely buy future tours through viator.

This was an unforgettable experience! I cannot praise enough the Tour Guide - STEFANO - and the coach driver - HANS. Both of these gentlemen were amazing. Stefano explained everything in detail and he's a real expert. Hans is a very experienced driver and a very friendly person. The places we were taken to were really interesting and we would not have visited them on our own, especially in one day! Even though the Sightseeing Tour was 9 hours long, it was not tiring at all and the time just flew away!! A very BIG WELL DONE to Stefano and Hans.

This is a solid day tour option. Delft was clearly the highlight of this trip- the pottery tour is great and lunch in the area makes you feel a different side of Holland than you get in Amsterdam. The tour guide was nice and competent. The city tours of the Hague and Rotterdam are fine, but since you don't really get out to see anything, it's hard to keep track of everything. It was also made more difficult by the tour guiding translating both in English and Spanish, so that buildings were introduced far before we actually saw them. The tour of Madurodam is a waste of time unless you have kids. Also know that this is not an intimate tour- our group had 55 people and completely filled a coach bus. In general, I'd say if you're doing this for Delft, just find your own way to Delft and enjoy a half day in town.

A convenient way to see Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague in one day. Our tour guide provided lots of information along the way so it was not just riding in the bus and watching the views passing by. I don't think I could have done all three cities in one day if I were driving by myself.
