First you will visit the Zaanse Schans and it's world renowned windmills. Experience a traditional clog-making session with a local artisan, and continue your journey to explore a very traditional cheese factory.
You will continue your private day trip to Volendam where you will see old fishing boats and local residents wearing colorful traditional dresses. After your one hour lunch break continue your journey to the captivating medieval town of Edam. Enjoy a relaxing walk along it's cobble-stoned streets and gaze upon it's uniquely styled homes and bridges along Edam’s canals.
We opted for the private tour and I admit I do not regret one bit. Our driver/guide arrived punctually for us at the hotel and he made our whole tour very interesting and entertaining. He was very knowledgeable about everything and he didn't stay looking at the watch to check the time case in point the tour was extended by over an hour. The sites we visited where very interesting and we got to meet some lovely smiling people.

This was a fantastic tour! Our guide was Inaki, and he was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Zaanse Schans because of his commentary. What a wonderful, historic place! We stopped at a cheese factory before visiting Edam. There were many cheeses to taste, and we bought some to take home. Edam was a lovely town, and we had a wonderful lunch there before we walked the streets of the town. A bonus was getting to see one of the many drawbridges raised over the small canal. Volendam was crowded with tourists, but it was nice to walk along the lake. _br/_ It was a lovely day spent with a friendly and charming guide.

After reading previous reviews, I was a little worried. However, our trip was wonderful. The car was very comfortable and our guide, Inaki, was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!

We enjoyed this tour, and our tour guide was very personable. However, we did not receive the comfort advertised by Viator, and I would reconsider taking another private tour with your company. Although you described comfortable travel in a minivan, we were transported in a tiny 2 door car. As an elderly person, I found it difficult to enter and exit the back seat. The Zaanse Schans windmills were very interesting, but I was very surprised that our guide did enter the windmill with us. Loved our walk through Edam--such a lovely village. We did not visit the cheese factory that was to have been part of our trip. We were deposited and picked up from Volendam, where I never saw a person in traditional Dutch dress. Where were they? We had taken our granddaughter on this trip to celebrate her recent college graduation and had spent quite a bit to make this a special day, and I was disappointed .

Dear Idiots, I already rated this tour. It should be zero. But you insist on a rating, so it is 1 star. It should be minus five stars!!Your local provider, Vedi Amsterdam and Fabianno Ratta, are totally unprofessional and liars. Rather than go thru the full litany of issues, why don't you refer to my earlier review and my multiple complaints about this tour. Viator should remove this tour from it's offering until such time they can arrange a professional tour offering with integrity! The tour did not take place because Fabianno is a liar and has ripped you off!
