Felt rushed and while the guide seemed to have a lot of knowledge on the current industry of coffeeshops and red light, lacked enthusiasm and knowledge on the history side. Tony was nice, but a fast speaker and not so great at taking photos for us. We glad we did it the first night and got to focus rest of the trip on the real Amsterdam but it wasn't worth the price as a private two person tour that finished in 1.5 hr.

Tony was FANTASTIC from start to finish. Prior to the tour, Tony was very responsive to email and flexible in accommodating our schedule. On the tour, he was very professional and provided an excellent overview of the history of the city. He then brought us to places in the Red Light District that we would have missed if we were walking on our own. He was super knowledgable about the city's history, the Red Light District, and the coffeeshop culture. He was very personable and made us feel at ease on a private tour. We highly recommend this tour for learning about the intricacies and the culture of the city -- it goes above and beyond any standard walking tour!

Our guide gave us a great tour and told us a lot about the history of Amsterdam. It was a pretty chilly day, so we warmed up in a coffeeshop and had some great smoke! This tour was worth every penny!

Really awesome tour! Tour guide Marina was the best! She had so much knowledge and energy that the tour felt like it went by quickly! She made it very interactive as well, often asking our experience and opinion on things and just holding a conversation with us nicely. We Loved Tony! I believe Tony can adapt to the people that are in his tour. We do not all want to see the same sides of the Red Light lifestyle. Tony was very informative and has a lot of historical and practical knowledge that he wants to share with you. Laura, Fran and I really wanted to delve in the business side of the red light district and we had a ball! You feel like you are hanging out with a friend that moved to another town. Tony also recommended a small Vietnamese restaurant and the Pho was delicious. We believe Tony enjoyed himself as much as we did! Thoroughly recommend!

Met our young guide whose name escapes me but he came from Rotterdam. He was really knowledgable and a great guide. _br/_ There were only my husband and I on the tour which gave us more time to question and query ._br/_ Guide explained lots of political issues and rules regarding the coffee shops. Pointed out lots of historic places and facts about the red light district. Even showed the new blue light district and explained the reason behind it._br/_ All in all quite a comprehensive tour and the 3 hours passed much quicker than I thought._br/_ Enjoyed this tour .

This tour was not worth the money, we walked around for an hour in the red light district. Then visited a coffee shop,one of our group had a bad reaction and need to rest outside for 30 minutes the tour guide had another tour to do and left us to do the sex museum on our own. Even without this issue you would be better off visiting the red light district on your own and save your money.

Recommend this tour. I purchased for my sister and her husband. They were going to Amsterdam for my brother in laws 60th birthday. I wanted to buy them a tour they would enjoy and would probably not book themselves. It was definitely the right one to go for. They had a wonderful time, had a young 19 year old chap who was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. They sent me photos of the visit but I don't think they would be happy if I sent these for all to see. If you know of anyone or you yourself like to find out more about the red light district and popular coffee shops this is the tour and can't believe anyone wouldn't enjoy it.

It was a fun tour with our guide Tony. Having a local to tour with is the best, and Tony was able to customize the tour for our group. I would book a tour with Tony anytime.This was our first day in Amsterdam and basically up for at least 24hrs, less what ever sleep you could get on the plane. Tony actually refunded the the admission to the Sex Museum because we were all too tired.

This was a great tour! Tony was a lot of fun, relaxed, and full of interesting facts. It was great to hear the history behind the most infamous red light district in the world and the cultural and historical situations which have lead to Amsterdam's differences from most cities. I would recommend this tour to anyone who doesn't want to wander aimlessly gawking or wondering why and how this area came to be. And I would add on the sex museum!
