When your ship docks at the Whittier cruise terminal to conclude your cruise, you'll be picked up by your professional guide and taken on a 4-hour journey to Anchorage. This terminal is the main cruise ship port in the Anchorage area, located about 1.5 hours away from the city of Anchorage.
Before lunch in Girdwood, take a tram ride up Mt Alyeska to check out the Roundhouse Museum, Alaska's only mountaintop museum, where you can browse interesting exhibits about pioneer skiers. Admire 360-degree mountain and glacier views before heading back down the mountain for a ride to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
This privately owned non-profit organization rescues orphaned and injured animals. On your guided tour of the center, get up-close views of bears, moose, elk, caribou and other Alaskan animals.
