Accommodation: Enjoy all this from your base, a Boutique A class and newly renovated 1884 traditional Pelion stone mansion house situated in the center of ‘Portaria’, the most popular & accessible village in Pelion and within easy walk of its beautiful sister village 'Makrinitsa'.

Program: Day 1. From Pickup at your Hotel in Athens we reach after 2 hours the site of Thermopylae stopping to explore and enter the visitor’s center which recreates the ancient battle where King Leonidas led the 300 Spartans in 480BC.

After, we continue to a very warm welcome and settle into your comfortable room enjoying the panoramic mountain views before a seasonal fresh buffet as we orientate you with details of the main sights, attractions and special cultural aspects of the region.

After lunch, continue with a tour of two of the villages including an optional nature walk through a wooded valley before an evening stroll around the village to enjoy its setting and dinner underneath the 900 year old Plane trees in the main square in an award winning restaurant (dinner included in price).

Days 2: Villages and Beaches of Pelion. A full day tour of the most beautiful scenery on earth traveling along one of the many picturesque routes with time to explore at the pace of the group some of the most charming local villages in Pelion with their shady squares and traditional shops. With stops at some of Greece’s most famous beaches for swimming (if coming in the summer) and lunch. Along the way your helpful and considerate guide will explain many interesting aspects of local history and culture as you fill your camera with the majestic landscape views.

Day 3: You'll transfer to Athens stopping along the way to swim (in the summertime) and enjoy lunch at one of the pretty villages along the coastal route which passes through olive groves, orchards, and between the mountains and sea on our return.
