ACCOMMODATION: Enjoy all this from your base, a Boutique A class & newly renovated 1884 traditional Pelion stone mansion house situated in the center of ‘Portaria’, the most popular & accessible village in Pelion and within easy walk of its beautiful sister village 'Makrinitsa'.

PROGRAM: DAY1 Thermophpylae & Pelion. From Pickup at your Hotel in Athens we reach after 2 hours the site of Thermopylae stopping to explore & enter the visitor’s center which recreates the ancient battle where King Leonidas led the 300 Spartans in 480BC. After, we continue to a very warm welcome and settle into your comfortable room enjoying the panoramic mountain views before a seasonal fresh buffet as we orientate you with details of the main sights, attractions and special cultural aspects of the region. Enjoy our free hydro-massage suite before continuing with a stroll around the village to enjoy its setting & dine underneath the 900 year old Plane trees in the main square in an award winning restaurant (dinner included in price). DAY 2: Villages & Beaches of Pelion. A full day tour of the most beautiful scenery on earth with time to explore at the pace of the group some of the most charming local villages in Pelion with their shady squares and traditional shops and blue flag beaches. Along the way your helpful and considerate guide will explain many interesting aspects of local history and culture. DAY 3: Meteora. After a fresh breakfast we travel to see two of the monasteries at Meteora. Built on a natural formation of sandstone rock pillars up to 400 meters high the 6 remaining monasteries date from the 14th century and form a remarkable & awe inspiring combination of nature and spiritual significance. As well as your visit you will be guided through their long history learning many amazing tales as you fill your camera with the majestic landscape views. DAY 4: We wish a fond goodbye to Pelion as we return by private transfer.
