Meet your local guide at your chosen time – 10am, 12pm or 4pm – and start with an orientation session to get familiar with your two-wheeled, electric, self-balancing Segway. Once you feel comfortable, you’ll glide along tree-lined streets to the foothills of the UNESCO-listed Acropolis of Athens – the ancient citadel and archeological site that dominates the city.
On the northeastern slopes of the Acropolis is the neighborhood of Plaka -- the city’s Old Town -- home to a cluster of trendy bars and cafés that you'll see as you pass through. Head into bustling Monastiraki, the quarter that’s famous for its colorful flea market and glide past the ruins of Hadrian’s Library – a Corinthian structure built by the Roman emperor in 132 AD.
Just to the east of Monastiraki is the district of Thiseio, home to the Ancient Agora of Athens; once the heart of the ancient city, it's now an intriguing courtyard ruin complete with Doric columns typical of the Classical era. After stopping to take photos and listen to tales about the agora from your guide, glide around, soaking up its highlights like the beautifully preserved Temple of Hephaestous.
Head outside the agora to see Athens’ New Acropolis Museum where hundreds of artifacts from the Acropolis’ Archaic period are now housed. As you weave back down the slopes of the Acropolis, pass Mars Hill where you can see the incredible Rock of Ares (Aereopagus) and marvel at the panoramic views over the city.
After exploring the highlights of the ancient site with your guide, glide back to a location near the start point where your tour ends.

I highly recommend this tour!! We had a family of six, and we all loved it! The staff was amazing!! They worked with our delays, and were very understanding and helpful. The segways were fun and easy to ride. We were able to cover a lot of ground riding them instead of walking plus it was just fun!! Two hours was a perfect amount of time to get everything in. I would do it again in a second!

Segway is just the BEST way to see a big city with lots to see in a short amount of time! The real beauty of Segway in Athens, is it is the best way to cover ground in the HEAT!!! Tour was fabulous. We saw SO MUCH and had a fabulous guide who was very knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting. I would absolutely do this one again!

The tour guide was patient, knowledgeable and provided us with valuable information about each site. I would recommend the tour as a great alternative to walking and loads of fun once you get the hang of the Segway. I would recommend that the company add the address and map to the confirmation as we found it a challenge to find the shop. Even the local police sent us in the wrong direction.

Highly recommended for a fun experience, especially with a teenager in tow. Neither of us had been on a Segway before, but with minimal training on a side road at the meeting point, got going easily and quickly gained in confidence during our 2 hour tour. Tour guide was helpful with both information and the Segway. Great for getting our bearings around Historic Athens on our 1st day and went at a good pace. Only downer was slightly too long a stop in Monistiraki Square where it was boiling hot and shameless, a long stop there was unnecessary. 15 yr old DD says 'Segway tour was so amazingly fun'.

My daughters and I did the Acropolis Segway tour and had a blast! I was slightly concerned that my 12 year old might have an issue picking up how to control the Segway, but she had zero issues and the team was great with showing us what to do before we headed out. Terrific way to see some sights without tiring out your legs : It was 101 degrees the day we did the tour so riding was most certainly preferable to walking!

The Segway is the best way to see a city, especially on your first day of vacation since you cover many kilometers in a few hours instead of walking for days. In Athens, the folks at the tour company are extremely professional, have an excellent staff and assure you will see sights of the city, learn the history, and have a wonderful experience. We were greeted with smiles when we checked in and had professional instructions in how to ride the Segway. It is easier than you think since riding a Segway is easier than riding a bike, and after some professional instructions from our instructor, our group was cruising around with no issue! Gabriella was our guide on the Acropolis Tour and stopped many times to explain the history of what we were seeing, ask if we were doing okay, and also took pictures of us at any time we wanted. She was excellent!! Athens Segway is the best way to see Athens!

Unfortunately we did not check our phone before arriving at the location alerting us that they could not accommodate our 10 AM reservation. Regardless, the staff expressed their apologies profusely but arranged a tour 2 hours later. This gave us time to hike to the top of the acropolis which was not Included in the tour. After a short meal at a local restaurant, we received a quick lesson on the Segway and we were off. The six of us were quite surprised with the ease of use of the Segway. Our guide, Chryss (sp?) was absolutely marvelous. We covered so much ground getting wonderful views of all the major attractions. You get very little opportunity to walk around any of the sites but that was ok with us. We were completely satisfied with this tour.

Fun and exciting tour. The sights were beautiful and interesting, and the ride was very enjoyable. The tour guide could have done a better job of bringing the group together and explaining the sights as well as discussing the myths and history relevant to the locations. If the tour guide would have shared more knowledge like some of the other tour guides we had in Europe, the tour would have been exceptional.
