It was quite an interesting tour. Guide was knowledgeable, she told us a lot about Greek mythology, if you have not learned it in the school. Always waited for us making sure that no one get lost. It was very hot in August so don't forget to bring water and hats! After Acropolis we made a 20-30 minutes stop at a small restaurant for refreshments. That was very necessary to get a break from the and sun heat. The overall it was a very good tour.

Many people say Athens is just a lay over city to get to the islands. Don't listen to them. Athens is amazing and this specific tour of the Acropolis was amazing. I loved our tour guide, she was so full of life and was one of the best guides I've ever had.

My family of four (with 17 yr old and 13 yr old) took the Athens Highlights: a Mythological tour in late June 2018. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it! Our tour guide, Alexandra, was wonderful. We had a small group that easily stayed together while walking throughout Athens to all of the major landmarks. At each site, Alexandra shared both the history and the myth behind it, which was fascinating for everyone in our family. The tour was well organized, on time, the guide was great, and Viator was reliable. Our first day in Athens, our family wandered around the various districts (Plaka, Monastariki, major landmarks, etc) getting the lay of the land, etc. I was so glad that on the second day, we had scheduled the tour, because it made seeing everything WAY more interesting to know the history, stories, culture, etc. Highly recommend!!

We had the greatest guide- Costas. He was very knowledgeable about the history and mythology and relayed the information very well. You could tell he truly enjoys his job and sharing his knowledge. The sites were amazing. The 4 hours is a lot though. Bring water and wear proper shoes. I’m super fit and by the end my legs were done and I was exhausted. I absolutely recommend hitting up this tour and using this company.

This was supposed to be a 4-hour walk but our guide took the time to let us rest and didn't go really fast on a lot of places, so we were able to soak in the culture and the history. Our guide was so enthusiastic and we learned so much from her. Although it was a very hot day, I was very appreciative of her time and knowledge. I do apologize for forgetting our guide's name, she was with a trainee guide during our tour, it's a good idea that the trainees should learn from her. She's the best!!

My husband and I really enjoy mythology, so this was the perfect tour for us. Our tour guide wove together the pre-historical myths with the actual history so seamlessly. This tour is a must for anyone who wants to visit the ancient monuments in Athens. I highly recommend it!

If you are only going to take one tour in Athens, this certainly is the one. Meshing the historical with the mythological was genius. Our guide, Deenah, was very knowledgeable and passionate about her subject. She was very helpful getting us where we needed to be because of time constraints as well, by talking and sorting out with taxi drivers.

Joanna was excellent. Our son is studying his 3rd year of Latin and has a passion for mythology. This tour was absolutely wonderful. Joanna mixed mythology and history in a fun and engaging way. Tour guide Alexandra was amazing. She shared many mythological stories about the sites we were seeing along with real history. We took lots of breaks walking up to the Acropolis so the hike wasn't bad at all. Would highly recommend visiting the Acropolis museum afterwards to tie all the information together.

We really enjoyed this 4 hour tour that included the Acropolis, Hadrian's Gate, and the Athens cemetery. Ifi, our guide, was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She knew the best places for photos, and skillfully maneuvered our small group around the throngs of tourists on the Acropolis.

Excellent tour, our guide his name eludes me, it was Greek and long was excellent. He was an archeologist and gave excellent recounting of the Greek and Roman myths associated with the sights we saw. Very recommended. A fair bit of walking for those who may have trouble, so be aware.

This is a must do! This was my favorite tour of my trip which included a lot of tours in Greece and Italy. Definitely wear your walking shoes as this tour is not for the immobile. There is a LOT of walking. My favorite thing about this tour was that at every sight, we learned both the history and myths surrounding the locations. Stops include the temple of Zeus, the acropolis/ Parthenon and some theaters and structures on the way, the ancient Athenian agora, temple of Hephaestus, and an ancient cemetery. Afterwards we were exhausted from all the walking, but this tour was perfect. At each stop, we got some info from our guide and then the perfect amount of time to walk around and take pictures._br/_ Be aware, however, that entrance fees are not included. They add up to around 21 euros with each place being 3-7. Or you can buy the 30 euro combo ticket which also includes 3 locations not included in this tour that you can visit on your own while in Athens._br/_ Overall, this tour was amazing and I high recommend. I would do it again!

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of Greek mythology and history while exploring all the major landmarks of ancient Athens in 4 hours as described. On occasion we felt overwhelmed by the volume of information she was providing but certainly got what we paid for. Walking rarely presented a problem as there was so much to take in, the pace was more of a stroll. We feel we took in the best of Athens and would recommend this tour to others.

The sites were amazing but the tour guide seemed more interested in talking to her associates than us spoke Greek.. I would recommend going on the regular walking tour of the sites. They are amazing and you won't be disappointed. I thought this would be one of the highlights of my trip but i was sadly mistaken.

Wow! This was an incredible journey and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and was happy to answer any questions. We saw and learned a huge amount in a short space of time. It was very hot and a lot of walking involved but we couldn't fault the enthusiasm of the tour guide. We had children with us who got very tired in the heat so it was a huge tour for them as at long times there was no shade.

This was a nice tour. There is a lot of walking including climbing to the top of the Acropolis so wear comfortable shoes. The day started out very rainy but soon cleared up and was gorgeous! This kept many tourists away so we had a very uncrowded experience and were able to take many pictures without people in them.there is a lot of construction on top of the Acropolis and it was a challenge taking photos without equipment in them. We saw four major tourist points and it was a great group, 6 of us in total. You do have to buy a 30 additional admission ticket. This is for entry into the sights. Acropolis Museum is not a part of this tour.

We enjoyed the small group to view Athens from a mythological perceptive (with splash of modern). Our guide, Costas, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Our 10 year old also enjoyed himself. Slight confusion as meeting place is actually posted Olympic Archeological Entrance not Temple of Zeus.

Our guide was amazing!!! She made doing this walking tour in August 48 degree heat worth it : the only thing I hated was that the tour ended on the others side of the city and we had no idea how to get back to our hotel but lucky our guide hailed a taxi and she directed the driver to our hotel

We really enjoyed our tour and Alexandria was a superb guide. We really lucked out having an archeologist for our tour! You do need to be able to walk and navigate steps. We felt bad when one couple had to drop out because the wife was not very mobile. The climb to the Acropolis is a bucket list experience and the view is amazing. You learn so much on this tour. I highly recommend it!

Our guide, Alexandra, was fantastic! We had only 7 people in our group, so we could hear her well. She provided much information at each place and gave us a bit of free time to enjoy and take photos before moving on. We had a quick stop for a coffee after a few hours, which was much appreciated.

What a wonderful tour we had in Athens. There is so much to see and being on a cruise ship stop we had to maximize our time on shore. We used Viator to book several tours for out Europe trip Germany, Italy and Greece. This tour was the worst! The tour guide arrived at each point of interest and began speaking well before the majority of the people in the tour arrived. We, as well as the majority of the other people in the tour, did not hear the information on the the things we were looking at. We had asked the tour guide to wait and start over, but they did not. What a waste of time and money!

This tour was very boring. The sights are amazing but I learned the most by listening to other guides. Part of the problem is they put 7 ladies with a family with two small kids. They split the people into 2 groups.Just because we are female does not mean we want a tour that seemed to carter to the children that urinate in public vs the adults.

This tour was great! Our guide, Kelly, was courteous, friendly, had a beautiful smile and informative. She patiently slowly explained about each site, as well as general questions about Athens and Greece. Some of the sites on the tour were the Acropolis/Parthenon, as well as the other temples/buildings Temple of Hephaestus Temple of Zeus Ancient Agora Hadrian's Gate Theater of Dionysus. She told us the background of each site, and what if anything was being done to restore it. I fully recommend this tour for mythology aficionados!

I can not stress to you how amazing this tour was. Emphasis on the and #39;mythological and #39; aspect. I had goosebumps, but that may have been our tour guide also (her name started with a D I and #39;m so sorry I totally forgot it). There and #39;s a lot of walking, bring water and a snack!
