My friend and I spent the day with Stavros touring the major sights. This was a wonderful tour. Stavros met us right on time at our hotel. He was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. We had great discussions ranging from the ancient philosophers to the modern political and economic situations in Greece. We started at the Acropolis early in the morning which allowed us to beat most of the crowds. Stavros gave us a very detailed history of the Acropolis and then let us explore the ruins for about 45 minutes. We saw many more sights, including the changing of the guard and the Temple of Zeus. We were dropped off in the Plaka for lunch with good recommendations for restaurants and shops. Stavros suggested we visit the markets, which we are glad we did. The meat market gave a new meaning to fresh meats. After lunch, we went by the government buildings and the top of Lycabettus Hill for a view over the entire city. This was a great tour and Stavros was the perfect guide. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Our guide Yannis Hope I spelled his name correctly was just great working with our group for a full day tour in Athens._br/_ He was prompt at every stop and had a lot of suggestions about what to do in order to see some of the top sites in one day._br/_ Like many of these tours, there is a very thorough description of the what you're going to see when you stop in the van. If you want a private tour of the Parthenon, you need to arrange that separately. For our group that was fine... between the signage and our guide books we were fine._br/_ Yannis also suggested a great restaurant for lunch and showed us some great sights in the city along with making suggestions for other activities after the tour was over. For example, he advised us not to waste our time paying for a driver to see the Archaeological museum when you can do this on your own . _br/_ I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a full day to discover Athens..My advice would be to spend some time planning what you want to see in advance to make full use of the car and driver. He is very well spoken about Athens and Greek history so ask him a lot of questions!

Stavros Striligas did a great job with seeing the whole city in a matter of 6 hours. We started by looping around the coast then went to a high spot across from the Acropolis, what a view!!! Was watched the changing of the guards, which was a great experience - a do not miss! He was very knowledgeable about the city and the history. We were dropped for lunch in the shopping district. Lunch was really good, seemed like a tourist trap but was not. sorry I do not remember the name of the restaurant. The owners let us go on top of the roof for a great city center view, jewel in the middle of the bussel. We concluded our tour with the Acropolis, mild hike steps, it was very hot July so bring plenty of water. The view from there across to where we started was a great perspective. apologize for not knowing what the cross view was called. Stavros was very personable , not too talky, not too quiet, the perfect guide. You need to book with him instead of the cruise tours, much cheaper and you are on your own schedule!!! Sorry this is a bit late but wanted to make sure we shared our thoughts.

We had an incredible time during our day private tour of Athens. Our tour guide was very informative of the history and culture of the historic sites. He helped us get to the front of the line for tickets and saved us a tremendous amount of time at the Acropolis. We toured several historic sites and had a wonderful lunch in city Centre market. We finished our tour atop Athens for fantastic photos.

I would give this tour a 3 . The guide was punctual and polite. But there was a lack of planning. We were in Athens for the first time and other than wanting to see the Parthenon, we did not know what we wanted to see. It was a disjointed tour. The guide was more of a driver with rolling commentary than a guide. My main complaint was that we would sit in the bus and hear about the site we were going to enter. Then we went into the site. The guide did not go with us, ever. We saw many other tours with guides and wondered what we had paid for as we could have read the commentary in a book. We ended our tour early and paid for a full da tour when we only took a half day, second-rate tour. Very disappointed in this tour and definitely not worth the time or money.

Could not have been better. Ioannis, our driver, was waiting for us exactly as promised. His English was exceptional and easily understood. We had arranged for our Acropolis tickets to be prepurchased which saved us over a 90 minute wait on line. I can very highly recommend Ioannis and his tour!

Our family was met on time at the port by Yannis S. who politely introduced himself. His Mercedes mini van was impeccable along with his professional and knowledgeable demeanor. We discussed sites we would like to see and relied heavily on Yannis input. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! I am a very particular person with high expectations and I could not recommend a better way to see Athens. Yannis knowledge of history is beyond words and it was explained in fluent English.
