Meet your guide at a central point in Athens at 10am, and prepare to learn about Athens rich history by bike! The 9km tour is suitable for cyclists of all abilities, and follows bike-safe routes along pedestrian and low-traffic streets.
Begin by cycling around the Acropolis, the historical center of Athens, and riding around the Acropolis Hill. The tour will then proceed to the archaeological site of Kerameikos, where the ancient city walls lie alongside the ancient Dipylon Gate by the banks of the River Eridanos.
Next, you will dismount your bike to walk around Philopappou Hill, which includes the Hill of the Muses and the Pnyx. Take in stunning views of the the Acropolis before cycling to the Ancient Agora, the hub of political and public life in Athens. Continuing to the Roman Forum and the Tower of the Winds, you will experience the sights of the city's Roman period before finishing the tour at the lively Plaka area. Here you can see the more modern side of Athens as you enjoy a coffee in a local café before returning to your original meeting point.

This was the highlight of my stay in Athens. Most people are wondering why I said that, but our small group got to see the sights of Athens from a different view, and had the friendliest tour guide you could imagine. We would ride to a location and take a break while our guide would tell us about his beautiful Athens. Im going back to Athens next year, and will probably do the tour again. Its just plain fun._br/_ And we got a little cardio exercise in on a beautiful Athenian day!

Excellent way to see the city and decide which site you want to investigate further. Highly recommend taking this tour on your first day in Athens. You ride by every major site so you can plan and prioritize your site seeing accordingly. The staff was extremely knowledgable, friendly and entertaining. They shared very helpful with hints about the area i.e where to eat, get wine, etc. We would definitely book this tour again!!!

We absolutely loved this tour and our guide Alex was amazing. We were only in Athens for 1 full day and it really was the best way for us to see the city. The paths were not hard at all since we stuck to pedestrian streets. Alex also did a great job of answering all of our questions and letting us stop for longer than we should have. It turned the 3 hours into 4 hours, but it there was so much to see. Stop considering and just book it--you won't regret it.

Een fantastische manier om de stad te verkennen! Je komt langs de belangrijkste plaatsen, en je krijgt er een enthousiaste uitleg bij, gecombineerd met interessante tips. Bijvoorbeeld welke ingang van de Akropolis het interessantst is, waar je best wel en niet gaat eten, enz. Het is een fietstocht van drie uur waarvoor je zeker geen getraind fietser moet zijn, het tempo ligt zodanig dat je rustig de tijd krijgt om rond te kijken. Onze groep was niet te groot, vijf personen, dat was erg aangenaam. Voeg daarbij onze zeer gemotiveerde gids Kostas, en dat maakt dat we op een rustige manier de stad leerden kennen. Halverwege hebben we nog iets gedronken, waarbij we nog wat uitleg kregen over de Griekse koffie ik had nog nooit de koude koffie gedronken en dat viel me goed mee. En aan het eind kregen we nog een fris flesje water dat deed deugd, en nog verdere tips voor de rest van ons verblijf. Kortom, een echte aanrader!

We loved this tour. Alex our guide was very knowledgeable and also very educated in Greek architecture and gave us a very in depth insight into these wonderful ruins._br/_ We loved going around by bike as we felt we got to see more than if we were in a vehicle. The bikes were easy to ride and Alex was sure to take good care of us and not let us get lost._br/_ We stopped at a lovely cafe for a drink and cookies.Alex was able to talk to us about the current Greek culture and way of life - very interesting. thanks Alex - we really enjoyed ourselves on this tour.

Dimitri was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable, upbeat and very sweet. It was hot that day but he made it seem easy and fun. I had gotten injured my fault I wasnt paying attention and he was sincerely concerned and tried to help. I was fine just a badly bruised shin. I highly recommend if you are in Athens

This is a fabulous way to to get oriented to the main sites in Athens. The bikes let you cover more distance than a walking tour, and you go places that a bus tour cannot take you. Our guide Dimos was excellent , giving us not only information about the sites, but great advice for restaurants and other things to do around Athens. The biking itself is easy, and you don't have to worry about cars, as you bike on paths and through pedestrian areas. You do have to watch out a little for pedestrians!. One bit of advice: bring along a bottle of water it can get hot out there.

I did this tour with our guide Sapfo last weekend and it was such an wonderful experience. The staff was so helpful getting us equipped with helmets and adjusting our bikes. The early start time was so helpful as it allowed us to begin the tour with fewer crowds. We stayed on either pedestrian streets, bike paths most of the time, making the tour feel protected from traffic. There were a few points where we crossed traffic, but by this time we felt comfortable on our bikes and Sapfo held up traffic to ensure safe crossing. The biking itself wasn't very strenuous and Sapfo took lots of opportunities to talk about what we were visiting, take pictures. Over the course of 4 hours, we covered a ton of ground, from more obvious tourist attractions such as the ancient ruins, to more local spots. At the midway, we stopped for coffee and were able to talk to Sapfo more. She had such an interesting perspective as an Athenian and as an anthropological photojournalist. Such a knowledgeable, fascinating guide who really showed such passion for sharing her city and culture with us. I would definitely really recommend this to anyone - thanks Sapfo for a great time!

We loved our bike tour! Dimitrius was so friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions, and he had great English. Myself and 7 other friends did the bike tour of Athens and it was great. Despite being extremely hot it was very relaxed, fun and there was no pressure to keep up with the front guide. The guys were very knowledge about the city and extremely friendly, they showed us parts of the city we would have never explored by foot. _br/_ The tour was 3 hours with a refreshment break half way through, the guys were kind enough to tell the best places to visit and where to eat. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Athens to do this tour.

This was our best experience in Athens. We were a group of 4, plus 2 tour guides. They were both archaeologist and passionate about what they were explaining, but most important, they were very friendly and close to everyone. We saw the most important areas in Athens in 3 hours, which would have been impossible without the bikes. We also enjoyed a great lemonade by the end of the tour: it was just amazing. I would recommend this tour to everybody, either you're going to stay in Athens for a couple of days or a couple of weeks, this is a must.

This was a great tour of the city and my tour guide was the best--I highly recommend. I was in the city for a few days on vacation and did this tour my second full day. The other two people in my group never showed, so it was just me and the tour guide, Alex. Alex was friendly, knowledgable, and easy to talk to. During the three hour tour, we hit almost all of the high points in downtown and Alex provided context not only for the monuments we saw, but also Greek culture in general.

I have visited Athens before heading to the Greek islands. During my stay in Athens I had the chance to do the Scenic bike tour. The city was amazing and the tour was even greater. They offered us a cold coffee called Frape at a nice local coffee shop. Next time I will try the coastal tour. Thanks guys for everything!!!!
