Athens Walking Tour with Food and Wine Tasting

The best of Athens tour starts at 10:30am so you don’t need to get out of your bed so early. With an enthusiastic guide you walk along ancient temples, enjoy great views over the city, get an impression of the city and tips on local restaurants, terraces, shops, sights and museums.

The walk takes a little bit more than an hour and finishes in a tiny little souvlaki shop which, according to the locals, serves the best souvlaki in town. Here you will be treated with a delicious pita with souvlaki* and a soda or a glass of wine. Feel local while sitting on a small stool among the Greeks and enjoying your souvlaki.

After finishing this snack, you continue your way. all across the vibrant central market to the local liquor store, which sells only Greek wines and spirits. In this small shop the passionate owners will tell you everything -with a little help on the language from your guide- you ever wanted to know about Greek wine, ouzo and raki. And of course you get the chance to taste some of it.

Great walking tour of unique places near the Agora and marketplace. Fun interaction with others on the tour. Well worth the time and cost. Highly recommended.
