Start with a hotel pickup from by air-conditioned minibus, and then travel into the city center with your private guide. Your first stop is Panathenian Stadium, an impressive white-marble structure that was the site of the first Olympic Games in 1896. Leave your minibus and head out on foot for a stroll up the slopes of the city’s famous ancient citadel. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the acropolis is home to several incredible buildings that date back to the days of Ancient Greece. See the Parthenon, Propylaea gateway, Erechtheion and Temple of Athena Nike, a monument built to represent Athens’ ambition as the most powerful Greek city.
After soaking up the views and perhaps enjoying a bite to eat or a drink from a local cafe (own expense), wander down the acropolis’ slopes to the ancient agora — a meeting place that once served as the heart of ancient Athens. Your half-day tour then finishes with a drop-off back at your hotel.
What a wonderful way to start our visit to Athens. Our driver and guide picked us up right on time at our hotel, drove us through town pointing out all the highlights as we made our way to the sites. It was great bypassing the ticket lines as our guide took care of the tickets for the Acropolis, Parthenon, Acropolis Museum and guided us through at a great pace. She was very knowledgeable and answered everything that we asked. It is always nice to have a guide that really focuses on what you want to see and not what they think is important, she was very focuses on our pace and our interests and we loved that. I count myself very lucky to have chosen this tour. My guide, Kostos, proved to be a superb companion and, in addition, a qualified archaeologist. He tailored the tour to meet my particular areas of study and it was a delight to be able to discuss the things we explored in such depth. This tour is a must for the amateur or ardent classicist.

Our guide Barbara was wonderful. We were group of 4 with one person needing cane due to injury. Barbara paced the trip and arranged for access up to top of Acropolis. We saw all the sights and our time was maximized.

What a wonderful way to see all of the highlights of the city! Hara was our guide and she was on time, waiting for us in our hotel lobby. She has her PhD in anthropology so she was very knowledgable and answered our many many questions. If you are interested in history and ancient civilizations, I would recommend this tour. It is a little on the expensive side depending on the number of people in your group. However, it is well worth it to have the one-on-one attention.

Wow, we where in Athens in a extreme heat wave, therefore our wonderful guide which we can't remember his name if anyone at Viator or Siva Travel know his name, please, please mention it had the brilliant idea to make visit the Acropolis first, It was magical, wonderful he has so professional, knowledgeable, educated in the history , not just of the Acropolis but of Greece itself. We visited the Olympic stadium, the parliament and we got to see the change of the guards, what wonderful experience the steps they perform it will blow your mind. We then proceeded to the Zeus temple, again it was an amazing site one after another. It was truly a Athens city Highlights. My parents came with me and like most people they were very excited about the Acropolis. When I asked them if they liked it ? Our tour guide Stadi? sounds like study was excellent. Rich knowledge of Athens, and was ready to switch things around to accommodate our interests and rest when we were tired. Started with the Acropolis, the Agoura, walked a little through the Plaka, then a tour around Athens. The tour van was air conditioned and very comfortable. Recommended!

Not worth the money, the regular red tour bus offered by the city stops at every important stop, you can get out , walk around the monument, get back on the bus and go to the next stop. That will cost you around 30 for 2 days!!!

Our tour guide, Joanna, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We visited Parliament to watch the changing of the guards, which was a very unique and memorable experience. The highlight of our tour was visiting the Acropolis and learning about the history of the Parthenon. The journey up to the Acropolis could be challenging for some, with steep inclines and some uneven pathways but well worth the effort. Being on the tour, Joanna already had our admission tickets so we were able to bypass the LONG line of tourists who were not part of a group waiting in line to purchase their individual tickets. Once at the top, Joanna was quick to find some shade from the hot sun while she gave us our history lesson about the Acropolis and surrounding area. Given that the tour was private, it was a great opportunity to set our own pace and ask our own questions rather than being part of a larger group so you are able to learn more about what interests you, specifically.

Anastasia was FABULOUS. By having a personal tour guide, we were able to get a lot of information about Athens and was able to go at our own pace. We also were able to sneak through the large crowds when needed, to keep moving along. Having the detailed attention made the tour more interesting. Would recommend this private tour to everyone.

Our 1/2 day private tour was absolutely wonderful. We were picked up at 9AM at our hotel and were transported around the city in a large Mercedes van. We were a total of 6 people in the back seats, and were very comfortable. Our guide, Raina is a super outgoing, personable, friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable person. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. Raina, and our driver, Socrates, were also very flexible about dropping us off at another location after the tour ended, and gave us great restaurant recommendations and tips for other must visit sites.

This was a great half day tour - there were 6 of us and we all enjoyed it. We needed to do the tour in the afternoon instead of leaving at 9am, they were flexible and accommodated us which we really appreciated. Our guide was friendly, knowledgable, and we could easily understand her. We were met at our hotel promptly, the mini-bus was air-conditioned, our guide used a microphone/speaker so we could clearly hear her while driving around, and we had plenty of time at each stop to explore. When the tour was done our guide recommended a couple restaurants and areas for us to visit on our own. The bus would've dropped us back at our hotel but we chose to get out in an area of town that looked good to us on our way back. No complaints at all - highly recommend this tour.
