Sunset RIB Boat Tour of Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon from Athens

Board an ultra-modern rigid-inflatable (RIB) boat to enjoy a 5-hour excursion to popular Greek sites including Cape Sounion, the Temple of Poseidon, Gaidouronisi Island and Arsida Cave. This small-group RIB boat tour includes round-trip transportation to the port from your centrally located Athens hotel and light refreshments onboard. After a memorable afternoon relaxing or snorkeling in the Bay of Sounio, watch the sunset on your return trip to Athens.

Begin the tour with pickup from your centrally located Athens hotel. Your luxury RIB boat will depart from Vouliagmeni Marina at 4pm. After 35 minutes with incredible sights along the way, will reach Sounion where you will have the opportunity to independently explore the most glorious Greek temple, the elegant Doric Temple of Poseidon (at your own expense). Admire the unique architecture, feel the vibes and learn about the ancient history of the temple. You will also have some free time to take a refreshing swim (snorkeling gear is available) or sunbathe on the sandy beach within the well protected bay of Sounio.

Leave Sounion at 6pm to head to the small private island of Gaidouronisi located in the Saronic Gulf. You may spend an hour exploring the large sandy beach on your own or swimming. Proceed to the Arsida Islet at 7:15pm, where you will see the colorful, open Arsida Cave. The cave walls and bottom are covered by red algae and yellow fancy corals.

Finally, relax and watch a beautiful and romantic sunset over the Aegean Sea during your return trip to Athens. You will be transferred back to your hotel in Athens at the conclusion of the tour.
