Atlanta City Sightseeing Tour by Segway

Take a guided Segway tour through Atlanta's historic neighborhoods such as Downtown, Cabbagetown, Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park. Stop at landmarks like the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site and the Oakland Cemetery, and admire innovative developments such as the Atlanta Beltline. Traveling by Segway allows you to cover more ground than walking and stay close to the action for an unforgettable sightseeing tour of Atlanta.
Once you meet your guide in downtown Atlanta, or at your hotel with the pickup upgrade, start your tour by receiving 15–30 minutes of Segway training. When your group feels comfortable, hop on your two-wheel transport and set out to see Atlanta! You’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and to ask questions of your friendly and knowledgeable guide along the way. Glide through Downtown Atlanta to the Cabbagetown neighborhood and hear about its transformation from small mill town to an artist haven with terrific restaurants. Keep an eye out for colorful street murals as you go. Continue to the historic Oakland Cemetery, the final resting place of many of Atlanta’s most notable citizens, and take in its architectural flourishes and peaceful gardens. Then hop over to the Old Fourth Ward and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, which commemorates the famous civil rights leader. Pass the red brick walls of the venerable Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Dr. King, his father, and grandfather all served as ministers. In the 1960s, the church evolved into a spiritual haven for civil rights activists. Next, visit Inman Park, once the site of legendary Civil War battles. Marvel at the grand old homes — the area was also part of the first-planned Atlanta suburb in the late 19th century — as you snap photos. Then travel along part of the innovative Atlanta Beltline, a former 22-mile (35-km) railroad corridor that is being redeveloped into a network of public parks and multi-use trails. It’s yet another example of the treasures to be found in this dynamic city!
During your journey around Atlanta’s neighborhoods and quieter streets, you’ll gain an understanding of the city’s past and present while learning fun facts from your experienced guide. After 2.5 hours, return to the starting point to end your tour. A maximum of 8 people per departure. Groups over this cannot be accommodated

We took this tour with ATL-Cruzers in late March and it was great! C.K. and Steve were our guides and they both did a great job! C. K. is a native of Atlanta and obviously very passionate about his home town. They both were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, even ones nothing to do with the tour. We started in downtown Atlanta among the sky scrapers, but for a good portion of the tour we were out in the neighborhoods away from the traffic. They shared a lot of interesting facts about the history of Atlanta and the things we were seeing from shotgun houses to mansions. Don't miss trying out the local popsicles when they stop there, they are great. We had a whole basketball team come at the same time as our tour, but they brought in extra guides so they could take care of everyone and keep on schedule. After the training session they split us up into smaller groups which made it nice. Besides the fun of the tour itself, the Segways are a lot of fun to ride! My wife and I do the Segway tour wherever we go on vacation. Great tour! Highly recommended!

My son and I took the Downtown Tour, and it was so much fun! Our guide, Drew, was very informative, and very entertaining. We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about Atlanta. _br/_ The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish we had more chances to stop and take pictures.

The whole experience was awsome!! Chris was great as a trainer and a guide. His knowledge of the areas we visited was excellent and the care he took with each customer was superb._br/_ We had only ridden a Segway for about 5 minutes before we signed up for this tour but riding the Segway was easily mastered and we saw much more of Atlanta than if we were walking or driving around in a car.

I really enjoyed this tour! I was the oldest in the group but managed to keep up fine. I was a bit anxious that I would hold everybody up but that was not the case. Training given was fine, gave confidence. A great way to see much more than you would on a walking tour as you can cover the distance but up much more close and personal than you would be on a bus tour. Would thoroughly recommend it and would do it again!

I had my sister and her daughter in law visiting from Indianapolis and it was such a great way for them to see downtown Atlanta and get around without walking because they are not use to our small hills in the area here. It was fun and I thought the guide was great. They are very good about safety and making sure everyone is well trained as this was our first time on the Segway and it was excellent.

Guides were great! Felt comfortable on the segway, they spent time making sure everyone in the group was ready to ride. It helped that the weather was nice. They even supplied a bottle of water for each rider. Great experience and great way to see the city.

We had a great time on the segways!! The Segway took a little getting used to, but once we did our group had a blast. The route is mostly shady and we loved stopping for King of Pops in the middle. Although we all live in Atlanta, we all agreed this was a great way to see our city! Our tour guide Steve was great too!

This tour was fantastic. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and entertaining but the Segway itself was also a lot of fun. I wish I had one at home! I highly recommend this Atlanta Siteseeing Segway Tour. A bit hard to find the office but well worth it!
