Newcomers and Atlanta veterans alike can enjoy a comfortable driving tour of Atlanta’s key attractions. A guide chauffeurs a group of five or less around in an eco-friendly electric car to explore neighborhoods including Midtown, Downtown, Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park. See civil-rights monuments like the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site, and other highlights such as Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), World of Coca-Cola Museum, and Centennial Olympic Park . You’ll get an excellent overview of the city’s top sights and historic neighborhoods while learning fun, local facts from your experienced guide.
You’ll meet your driver-guide at the Atlanta Visitors Center and hop in a comfortable electric vehicle that seats five, plus the driver. In 90 minutes, you’ll cover 15 miles (24km) in the heart of the city, discovering the history and culture of the ‘Capitol of the South.’ (See Itinerary for a full list of attractions.) You can chat with your guide throughout the tour in your quiet, eco-friendly electric car!
Set out from downtown on a drive through some of the city's historic neighborhoods. See Inman Park, Atlanta’s first-planned suburb and a former site of brutal Civil War battles. Then you’ll journey to the Old Fourth Ward, where the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site commemorates the life and legacy of the famous civil rights leader. Pass by Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Dr. King’s father and grandfather both were ministers.
Next you’ll explore Midtown Atlanta, a buzzing neighborhood filled with some of the city’s hottest restaurants, bars, clubs and hotels. Cruise by the Georgia Institute of Technology, a top research university. Your knowledgeable guide will share fun facts and history about each of the sites.
Then return to downtown Atlanta and spot the iconic 23-karat gold dome of the Georgia State Capitol. You’ll zip by the CNN Center, which serves as the world headquarters for the television news station, and spy the modern architecture of the World of Coca-Cola, a museum of earth's most famous soft drink. Then marvel at the intricate Moorish design of the Fox Theater, a premiere spot for live entertainment.
After a comprehensive 90-minute tour of Atlanta’s highlights, you’ll be returned to the starting point to end your tour.
We stopped in Atlanta for a layover and did not want to stay in the airport all day. So we booked this tour one day in advance for a quick way to see some of the city of Atlanta. It was fun, informative and sure beats staying in the airport. Our guide, Baker, talked the whole time. He answered our questions, showed us several areas of downtown Atlanta, a couple neighborhoods with beautiful old homes, buildings old and new and some of the highlighted tourist attractions everyone comes to Atlanta to see. The electric car he took us in was clean and quiet with big windows for a 360 degree view. This really was just a taste of Atlanta and the tour is driving around for 1.5 hours, but it was very nice for us. You don't get out of the car to take pictures and walk around, but you get to see lots of things you can go back to easily once the tour is over, just by hopping on the streetcars downtown. This is a great way to see the city of Atlanta with a knowledgeable and humorous guide. You see areas of the city you probably would not see without the tour and it gives you an insight on areas you may wish to go back to visit in your own time.

Totally the best way to see Atlanta especially if you don’t want to walk much or it’s raining. I can’t remember the tour guides name but it was on March 6th. He was informative and accommodating, thanks for showing me Atlanta!

The weather in Atlanta was unusually cold so we had to keep the zippered plastic windows closed. This made it difficult to see everything. However, our driver/guide, Baker, was very informative and super friendly. Despite all that, we did learn a lot about Atlanta. Would recommend and definitely in warmer weather.

This trip was fabupous and I have lived in Atlanta for 45 years. My sister-in-law was in town and this was a delight for both of us. Our guide, Geoff, was very knowledgable and entertaining with all sorts of great stories and info. He gave so may restaurant tips along with info on many areas of Atlanta. I recommended it to a friend and after she and her guests did it she thanked me. You will be glad you took the tour.

We were staying in Atlanta a few days and took this trip to see more of _br/_ the city. Apart from Martin Luther King area and some old houses Atlanta really is not a tourist destination. Our driver was lovely, informative, and tried her best to make the tour interesting and I suppose thats what she did.

I learned so much about the city of Atlanta. My tour guide Geoff was very knowledgeable. The electric car I was in ended up breaking down/the battery died right where the new Avengers movie was being filmed. It was neat to see and we got to finish the tour in another car. I highly recommend!

Had a great time! I was looking for something fun to do with my cousins who were in visiting from Massachusetts and this was perfect. Our tour guide was fabulous and had so much knowledge about the city. I have lived in Atlanta for 45 years and was unaware of some of the information he shared. I regret that it has taken me this long to write my review. My 8yr old and I spent the day in Atlanta this summer. Among other things, we took the Electric Car City tour. I knew my son would think that was cool and it really was the best way to see the sites. I reseached and read the comments and was thrilled that we actually were booked for Mina's tour. The entire staff was great but Mina's presentation of her 'adopted' city was thorough and entertaining. We were able to hear well and close enough to the sites to get great pictures. I'm an airline employee and we travel frequently. I always look for a city tour and this was one of the best ones by far. Tip... the pick up point is around the corner from the DoubleTree hotel. If you ask for a cookie, you get a cookie. : They gave us bottled water too.

We took this tour because we had some time on our hands the last day in Atlanta before we headed to the airport. Our guide was very knowlegable especially about architecture and the history of Atlanta. It was a great tour and we were fortunate not to be rained on. Tour was pretty much on time leaving and getting us back to the drop off point. The vehicle was quite comfortable and moved well through the heavy street traffic. Not much of an opportunity afforded to stop and get off the vehicle. I thought that if possible it would would have been a better use of time to stop at some of the historical sites and spend a little time walking around and taking pictures than touring as many neighborhoods in Atlanta to see some of the older homes of the city. It should be billed more as a site seeing tour of Atlanta homes and restaurants...our guide loves all the restaurants and drove us by several describing the cuisine. _br/_ Overall though, the value was good and it was a nice way to end our visit to Atlanta.

Our driver was so well versed in the history of places on our tour. She was very attentive to the traffic and asked us several times if we were doing okay. We live 2 hours away and frequent Atlanta to explore the history. This tour took us to parts of the city we probably would never have seen. We absolutely loved the tour because as we were able to see and lear about so many parts of the city. in as many years we have visited Atlanta, we probably never would have seen or learned about such history on our own. I am not able to walk much do to my knees so to be able to see and learn about more history of one of our favorite city was fantastic!

I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Altanta. It offered a overall view of the city with a lot of specific information about important sites. Our tour guide, Nancy, was knowledgeable, friendly, and a real advocate of Atlanta. I was originally just visiting Atlanta to attend a football game, but I would recommend Atlanta as a destination vacation site. It was not only beautiful, it had a number of attractions almost anyone would enjoy.

Our Driver/guide was awesome and fun. Shane. It was up close and personal, lots of Atlanta information. I wanted to go on the bus tour, but it was only offered at a time that I couldn't do it. This was the next best thing. I'm glad I could see part of the city. worth the price.

I had my two cousins visiting me from Scotland, and was unsure of how to get around all the cites in Atlanta's wonderful traffic! I would highly recommend this tour. Sean was a great guide and extremely knowledgeable. I have lived in he ATL for 30 years and I too learned many historical facts that I didn't know. This is a tour not to be missed!

Tour was great but it was very hot. This would have been ok if we had been offered water on the trip. It would have been great even if they had verbally offered water to buy before we left. Admittedly, I should have thought of it myself but I was distracted and it would have made the tour much more enjoyable.
