Ponce City Market Food Tour in Atlanta
Atlanta, United States of America
Ponce City Market is Atlanta’s coolest destination in the city's hippest neighborhood. Housed in a converted Sears, Roebuck, & Co. building, Ponce City Market has been converted into a curated food hall with some of Atlanta’s best restaurants. Along the tour you'll enjoy tastings from James Beard Award winner Chef Linton Hopkins and James Beard Award nominee, Chef Hector Santiago. We'll talk about the history of the former Sears, Roebuck and Co. building and even take a stroll along Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside trail. Learn about Atlanta and eat like a local!
The tour meets at the concierge desk at Ponce City Market located inside the food hall near Onward Reserve. You'll check in, meet your local tour guide and other tour goers and begin the tour. You'll be guided to 8 unique and delicious tasting locations in the area. Each of the restaurants and tasting locations are locally owned and operated and have received local and/or national acclaim. At each tasting stop you'll learn about the chef, their food and any awards they've won. Each restaurant has been specifically curated by former CNN journalist and food lover, Cristy Lenz. Between tasting locations we'll learn about the unique history and architecture of the building.
We'll take a short guided walk of the Atlanta Beltline's Eastside Trail, a 22-mile pedestrian pathway around the city, before heading back to Ponce City Market for more tastings. The tour concludes at 1:30pm. During the tour you'll eat enough to provide a nice lunch. You should not be hungry after the tour.
