We firstly used our ticket to get over to Devonport, and we ended up staying there for most of the day as it was so interesting and pretty._br/_ We did get a chance to take the whole Red Route tour when we got back, which was very good, but sadly we were too late to take advantage of the 'Hop On Hop Off' element to visit other attractions._br/_ Oh well, maybe next time :

Great overview of the city.There is pre-recorded information about each stop. Due to our own time constraints, we only got off the bus at Mt. Eden which is an old volcano crater. I'd recommend it to get a higher elevation view of Auckland. Only complaint would be that for some reason the blue buses used a really offensive deodorizer that will bother anyone with allergies. The red buses didn't use this deodorizer.

Too crowded!! Inside Bux is says you can not stand and ride, but quite often there is no where to sit. Confusing on how to receive tickets and map. On-line map is terrible!!

I enjoyed the bus tour, but I didn't care for the city. It is loud, noisy, crowded, and a lot of hills. If you are going to use this bus, book a hotel near a stop. The hills are difficult if you are disabled or older. _br/_ Definitely stay on both routes and enjoy the sights. Very comfortable and great ac.

Perfect for cruisers. Ship docks right in town,near Visitors Info. Centre.Bus leaves from just nearby.We did just one line including. Sky Tower stop,then took the ferry across to Devonportincluded. Lovely day.and very cheap and easy!

Great way to see the city of Auckland. The advertisement stated that the 2 day pass was good for different days not consecutive but when we checked in for the first day we found out it was good for 48 hours. They did let us use it on 2 different days as long as we started before the 48 hour period was up. Enjoyed the ride. You need to pick and choose what you want to see before you go or you might run out of time. Saw stunning views of the city and learned some interesting facts with the narration. Would recommend this trip if you have limited time and want to see a lot of the city.

Hop on Hop off is always a great way to see the town at the beginning of a trip. The tour took about 2 hours, but could easily last the whole day if you choose to get off at any of the locations. It rained the day we went so we just treated it like a tour and didn't get off the bus. It did however give us an idea of what to do the rest of our trip.

Great way to see Auckland! Stops at many attractions so you can pick and choose which ones you hop off to see. The bus comes along every 20 mins so you don't have too long to wait. You get commentary along the way too. I would highly recommend it, especially if your time is limited.

I arrived in Auckland on a large cruise ship and the Auckland hop on/hop off was not prepared for this. To start, I had to line up and wait for a third bus which took about an hour. I got off at Mt. Eden and climbed to the summit, which provided a great view of the city. Then I got back on and off at a shopping center which was nothing special. I spent about a 1/2 hour in the shopping center and then went to 'hop' back on. One bus came, but it was full. Another bus came, but it was full - I forget how many buses came before we could finally 'hop' on one but it was about an hour and a 1/2 wait. By this time, as the service ends at 4PM, all we had time to do was transfer back on to the bus going back to our departure point. Overall, very disappointing.

We always love the hop on hop off bus tours. This one was quite good, the only thing I wish they would change is the bus driver sells tickets at each stop, which takes a lot of time. In other cities weve seen it work better when they sell tickets from a couple of locations, it makes the tour move along much better.

We my husband, both my parents myself had a great time, HoHos are always a good option to tour when you have limited time. It would've been better though if operating hours were longer, I think the last bus leaves at 430PM. And because of the season bus intervals was an hour which was a bit too long for us although I think its 30mins during summer.

An excellent way to see the highlights of Auckland on your own. Bus Drivers were very informative and handled the buses in a very crowded street system. We enjoyed the ability to determine how long that we wanted to stay at the stops we picked. Weather was spectacular so it was a great way to get an overview of Auckland before we boarded our cruise ship.
