Following an 11:30am pickup at your Auckland hotel, take a seat in your air-conditioned minivan for the 35-miute drive to the coast to begin your 5-hour sightseeing tour.
First, visit the Arataki Center and admire panoramic views over the Waitakere Ranges to the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea. Discover extensive displays of local wildlife, and gain insight into the struggles faced by New Zealand’s early settlers.
Head onward to Piha Beach — renowned for its great surf and black sands — and dip your toes into the cold Tasman Sea. Then, enjoy a wholesome lunch in a local café before heading onward to Karekare Beach — home to natural attractions including a freshwater waterfall.

The most amazing tour in Auckland _br/_ My family and I booked this tour because we would like to see the waterfall in Auckland. Our tour guide Brett was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. We saw the most beautiful KareKare waterfall and walked on Black Sand beach. The weather was lovely and the scenery was breathtaking. Even the cafe lunch was quite enjoyable and the place had a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. I saw a 1000 year old Kauri tree and a very beautiful hen on our way back. I had an awesome time and it was one of the highlights of my stay in Auckland. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to visit Auckland. This is the tour you don't want to miss out on!

Brett was the most wonderful tour guide and photographer ever! We saw beautiful sights, waterfalls, black sand beaches, Waitakere Ranges, and great hike up the rocky cliffs by the water for some amazing views and photos. Whole family loved it!

We had an absolutely amazing time with Lissa on this trip! We lucked out and had a very small group my boyfriend and I plus one other traveler so the day was very customized to what we wanted to do. We got to see some spectacular views and I loved Piha beach. I had never seen a black sand beach before and since Lissa knew the area well, she took us out to a spot where fresh water falls down to meet the ocean water. She also took us up these rocks overlooking the water and snapped a bunch of photos for us. We had a great time getting to know her and enjoying the beautiful west coast scenery. I would 100 recommend this tour if you're in the Auckland area. It was our favorite tour we took while we were there.

This was a great tour. Brent our driver was very knowledgable and helpful. The sites we visited were beautiful and made for some great photos. There were ten of us in the tour and everyone had a great time. The only regret was that we could not do a full day tour.

An amazing trip!_br/_ Our guide and leader was Brett - he was excellent. Great insights into the geography of the west coast and the maori culture. Crammed an awful lot into the half-day - felt like a full day - but never rushed._br/_ The tour include lunch which was excellent._br/_ Brett is alao a photographer and is very happy to share tips and even take your photo._br/_ Great sights - opportunity to take a dip in the waterfall which we took and to paddle in the sea at Piha. _br/_ Great trip - can thoroughy recommend.

This tour was a lot of fun and super customizable!! Brett, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and flexible for the tour. We had some rain during half of it, but he was still willing to walk us around to see all the beautiful sights! The cafe he took us to for lunch in Piha had great food. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!!
