Leisure Bike Tour on Waiheke Island from Auckland

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and unique vibe of Waiheke Island on this privately guided bike tour. The route follows beautiful coastal paths and incorporates a short hike and wine tasting at an iconic winery. This easy, leisurely paced tour will allow you to relax and enjoy the freedom. Rate includes private guide, bike hire, return ferry tickets, picnic lunch, wine tasting and bottled water. Reasonable fitness required. Route involves several hill climbs that are easily walked if necessary. Some fitness required. Not suited to children or unconfident participants.

Your tour will begin at the base store at 9am. After meeting and greeting your guide, you will be given a safety briefing to ensure you know all procedures in place to keep you safe and happy throughout the tour. After the safety briefing you will be fitted for your bikes and helmets, your guides will be there to assist.

Head out and cycle to the Wynyard Quarter ferry terminal, stopping at two locations along the way for pictures. Board ferry and travel to Waiheke Island. Your guide will provide you with information about the Hauraki Gulf throughout.

Upon arrival in Waiheke, your guided bike tour will begin. Allow the scenery to soak in as your cycle through local parks and communities.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic location in Surfdale, a picturesque seaside community. After lunch, walk the bikes up a hiking trail to a famous local winery for some relaxing wine tasting. Then continue cycling to Oneroa Village where you may enjoy some shopping if time permits.

Ride back to Matiatia Ferry Terminal and embark on the journey back to Auckland. Once reaching Auckland, you will cycle back to the base shop where the tour will conclude at approximately 5pm.
