Private Tour: Full-Day Surf Lesson and Lunch at Piha Beach from Auckland

Learn to surf at one of the most popular beach destinations in New Zealand. Known for amazing waves and breathtaking scenery, Piha beach on Auckland's West Coast is a must-visit. This experience will include return transport, a private surf lesson with time to enjoy the wonders of the beach afterwards, and a healthy lunch.

The tour will start in Auckland City where you will be picked up from a meeting point you have specified or from your hotel. Your Elements guide will drive you to Piha beach, through the stunning Waitakere Ranges regional park, the largest in Auckland. The drive to Piha takes approximately 45-minutes.

With a stop at Piha's famous lookout point you will be able to take photos and admire the breathtaking destination. Then head down to the beach where you will have a private 2-3 hour surf lesson with an internationally qualified instructor. You will have a full safety briefing on the beach, learning about the ocean, and then practice surfing technique on the beach.

All gear is included! We ask for your weight and height at the time of booking so that we can match you with the best wetsuit and surfboard for your size. All you need to bring is something to swim in, and a towel. Changing facilities can be found at the beach.

During your lesson, your instructor may have the camera in the water or on the beach to get some photos of your surfing. Please specify at the time of booking if you would be interested in purchasing photos.

you will be taken to the Piha Cafe after your lesson. The Piha Cafe is a family run, local business, making their delicious cabinet food fresh everyday with seasonal and local ingredients.

After a long day of fun we then head back to Auckland City where you will be dropped back to the same meeting point.
