Private Tour: Half-Day Best Wineries of Auckland Tour

Join this half-day wine tour for a chance to spend the morning in relaxation. Enjoy scenic travel from central Auckland along Tamaki Drive to Villa Maria’s Auckland estate, a hosted vineyard tour and tasting of Villa Maria’s award-winning wines, a visit to two wineries in Kumeu for wine tasting, and a return transfer back to your hotel in the city. *(Please note, lunch not included in price for this tour, although we will have time available for lunch at one of the winery restaurants visited)

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in the city at approximately 9:30am. From here, you will travel via Tamaki Drive to Villa Maria’s iconic Auckland winery. There you take part in the hosted vineyard tour and tasting of their award-winning wines. Established in 1962, family-owned Villa Maria has grown to become one of New Zealand’s largest and most-awarded wine producer. Dedicated to the pursuit of making quality wine of the varieties New Zealand is most famous for, which are enjoyed by wine drinkers around the world.

In Kumeu, you will visit a selection of two vineyards from Kumeu River, Soljans, Coopers Creek, Matua Valley, Babich, Kerr Farm and Westbrook. Here you can taste the great wines of New Zealand including Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Otago Pinot Noir, Hawkes Bay Syrah and Cabernet blends, and Kumeu Chardonnay, as well as other locally grown varieties like Pinot Gris, Rose, Malbec, Montepulciano, and Gerwurztraminer.

At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel in the city. Arriving at approximately 2:30pm.
