Small-Group Auckland Electric Bike Tour

See Auckland on two wheels, with a little bit of an electric nudge during your 2-hour tour. Ride electric-assisted bikes around the city with your guide. In a small-group limited to 12 people, take in the sights as you visit the city's highlights, including Princes Wharf, Grafton Bridge, Parnell Rose Garden, and more. Your bike and helmet are provided for this tour.

Explore Aukland during this 2-hour bike tour. Use electric-assisted bikes, so your ride is leisurely with no extreme pedaling required. There are 4 levels of assistance with an added "boost" mode for the steepest of climbs, and the bikes are limited to a safe 15 miles (25km) per hour. Depending on the option selected, meet your guide at either 10am or 1pm to begin your tour. Learn about the city's growing cycle-friendly network of shared paths and dedicated cycle lanes. 

Start your tour with a visit to Viaduct Harbor before heading off to Princes Wharf, home to upmarket restaurants and the Hilton hotel. Take in the stunning views at the end of the wharf towards Devonport and back to the Auckland Harbor. Your guide will share more information about the 50 volcanoes that Auckland is built on. Next, follow the newly created cycle path that goes out all the way along the coastline. Along the waterfront, hear the stories of the local Iwi (Maori tribe), Ngati Whatua, who lived in Okahu Bay until they were evicted in the 1950s.

Before reaching Mission Bay, head uphill and stop at the beautiful Parnell Rose Garden, home to over 5,000 rose bushes and stunning views of the city. Around the corner is St Stephen’s Chapel, a small church that occupies the site of one of the first churches built in New Zealand. Finally, make your way up a steep hill to the grand Auckland War Memorial Museum and the beautiful Domain parkland. See these most iconic building and its spectacular setting overlooking the harbor and city skyline.

Ride along the cycle-way across Grafton Bridge. Painted pink and only recently opened, the path shows what is possible when old off-ramps and enlightened traffic engineers get together. As you head downhill, make a short detour into the old City Works Depot and see some of the eateries and creative businesses that are based there.

Pass by Victoria Park Market and Orams Marine Village, and reach your final stop at Wynyard Warter, a collection of chic cafes and restaurants now. You will return to your departure point at the end of the tour.
