Experience the best of Waiheke on a full-day tour that combines a morning of high-flying zipline adventure with an afternoon sampling the delicious wines and foods of the fertile island. Expert guides lead your zipline adventure and show you how to soar through the air. Afterward, celebrate with lunch and wine tasting at a premium vineyard, followed by two more wine tastings and visits to an olive oil estate and a microbrewery. If you want, take advantage of a complimentary bus pass to explore more of the island after your tour. Small-group tour limited to 12 people whilst ziplining and 35 on the vineyard tour ensures customized attention from your guides.
Enjoy a relaxing 40-minute ferry ride from Auckland to Waiheke Island. Upon arrival at the island, your coach takes you through Waiheke to the zipline center.
Meet your zipline guide and receive a safety briefing and gear before heading to the first platform. Your guide gets you safely attached to the zipline and then you’re ready to start the first of your three zipline flights. Your expert guide provides personal attention to each member of your small group.
Soar above vineyards, a valley, and forest. When you reach the end of the zipline course, walk back to the visitor center on your own, following an easy 1-mile (1.5-km) path through the forest.
Celebrate the morning’s adventure as you embark on the next part of your day: lunch and wine tasting. Travel by air-conditioned coach to your first stop at Stonyridge Vineyard, one of Waiheke’s original wineries. Enjoy a wine tasting and light lunch that refuels you after the ziplining experience.
After lunch, your driver takes you to the Rangihoua Estate to taste their award-winning olive oil. Visit the olive orchards, then learn how extra virgin olive oil is made and sample several varieties in the tasting room. Next, visit Wild On Waiheke, a vineyard and winery that also brews small-batch beers. Sample their wine, beer, and other treats during your visit.
Your final stop brings you to Mudbrick Vineyard, a winery with stunning views over the Hauraki Gulf. Enjoy sipping their fine wines as you gaze over lush gardens and vineyards.
At the end of the tour, either return on a late-afternoon ferry to Auckland, or stay longer with your complimentary All Day Bus Pass to explore more of the island on your own. Ferries to Auckland run until late in the evening; check the schedule for details.
Our guides were very friendly! We had a great time and the views were simply breathtaking. We had been ziplining several times before in Oahu, Maui, and the Dominican Republic, but this was by far the best. The facilities were start of the art, and the Waiheke Island views, foliage, and bush walk were remarkable.

This was an amazing experience! The crew that assisted with the ziplining seemed to really care about the overall experience of the zippers. There concern for safety was paramount and they gave detailed instructions prior to and during the experience. They checked and re-checked the harness each person wore. The crew had a great sense of humor, and it was apparent they were all good friends. They worked very well as a team.

We really enjoyed this day trip ._br/_ Easy ferry trip to waiheke from ferry terminal....just don't let the ferry ticket operator convince you to take a later ferry...you'll miss the zip lining if you do!_br/_ Comfortable minibus transfer to the zipline base.We had zip lined before but we really enjoyed the 3 different lines offered._br/_ Very professional and fun experience. amazing views._br/_ We then joined a bigger coach tour for our winery visits....again we enjoyed the different wines food and scenery on offer._br/_ Well worth doing........

Excellent combination tour. The two companies involved zip-line and wine tour worked well together to get us where we needed to be on time. We lucked out for both tours since we were visiting in the off-season. We were the only two people on the ziplining tour, so we had incredible one-on-one attention with the two instructors. Our safety was their first concern and they did a great job instructing us so we were confident and enjoying ourselves. Beautiful location with stunning views! They pick you up and drop you back off at the ferry terminal. The wait for the wine tour at the ferry is short after ziplining and the bus is small and comfortable. Our driver was a native of the island and full of knowledge and history. With only 7 people on the tour, she changed up her route to show us some amazing views. The three vineyards and one olive oil plantation were excellent choices. The lunch at the first vineyard was a fantastic quiche with family-style salad, bread, etc. The final vineyard had a wonderful tour that walked you through the vineyard. This tour is a must if you like a little thrill and a little chill.

A great day to spend flying over the treetops and sipping wine. My wife and our 19 year old son enjoyed everything about this trip. The ziplining was exciting enough to keep my son engaged and not too exciting to scare my wife - nice balance. The wineries were all nice properties with great views. Highly recommend it.

zip lining was great and three lines were perfect. there's a 30 minute hike after zip lining that was kind of pointless but you had to walk to get back to the top so it was necessary haha but the wine tasting tour and lunch was fabulous. At the first winery, for lunch we had frittata and salad and of course- WINE! They give you like three samples at the first winery and then you'll have to pay for your own glass after sampling and then the next two wineries is the same thing basically. but they were all so lovely at each place and everyone was so nice. I'd highly recommend this tour!

This was one of our highlights of our trip. The zipline was somewhat short with 3 spots, so if you're a beginner, its a great way to zip for the first time. The Wine Tasting stops were outstanding and the people were very knowledgeable. Waiheke, or Wineheke as they would call it, is a must stop for a New Zealand stop. Lunch was fabulous and the views were outstanding.

A really fun and adventurous outing. The ziplining was a blast! We zipped down three different runs, each run increasing in distance and speed. The zipline staff was very patient and encouraging. Do know that what goes down must come back up at the end of the runs there is an uphill hike that might be challenging for anyone with health/physical issues. Ziplining was a real thrill.

I did this for my 53rd birthday with my husband and daughter. SO glad we did this - the zip lining was fun and exciting my first experience, and the vineyard tours and lunch were excellent. The guides at the wineries were very knowledgeable, and our bus driver was knowledgeable and funny. It is pretty much all day, but you will be back in Auckland by dinner time. Make sure you wear sunscreen and bring a hat and sunglasses! If you are considering this, don't hesitate! You won't regret it!

Loved it. Waiheke is a beautiful island worth the short around 30mins ferry ride from Auckland. The girls at the ziplining were fantastic and very passionate about the bush area we wandered through, part of the money paid goes to conserving it. The lunch was fine and wine tasting was very good. The three vineyards we visited were stunning. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Our zipline trip was absolutely fabulous! Our driver from the ferry was fun and friendly and our two guides on the zip line were professional yet fun. The scenes were amazing as you went over the tree tops. Breathtaking views. The walk back was so beautiful and you felt like you were miles and miles from anywhere except the jungle! The wine tastings and lunch were also fun. We tasted amazing wines and the lunch was delicious! I would highly recommend this adventure!

Well organized, extremely safe. Easy hike, and great views/guides. Wine tasting was a bit rushed at each stop, and the first felt very tourist oriented we sat for a quick meal, a helicopter landed with another tour, and a bus was arriving as we departed. Still an amazing wine tour, especially for the value. We also were able to see a brewery and an olive farm/olive oil factory which was great.

Awesome!! Get to marina early enough to find your tickets as several booths are closed early am. Zip line staff fantastic and eco walk very enjoyable. Wine tasting bus driver fantastic. Enjoyed hanging out in town after to enjoy some of the local fare fish and chips take out right off of the beach not far from town.

First part of the day, the ziplining, was 5 stars all the way. The people at EcoZip were professional, fun and safety conscious.The ziplines were fun and the views were amazing. The zip lines are perfect for beginning zip liners because there are 3 separate lines that work up from beginning to thrilling. I will say, though, that if you're an adrenaline junkie looking for something that will give you a scare, this may not be it._br/_ The wine tour and lunch was only so-so. Lunch was quiche, a little salad and a few pieces of cheese. You had to pay extra to have wine with lunch. The wineries were fine, and the views were beautiful, but the tour needed to be an hour longer. There wasn't time to taste much wine and definitely not enough time to taste enough wine to want to buy some. The afternoon was just lackluster.

Great experience all in all. Fantastic views. The ziplining was easy to do also for a beginner and the guides were very helpful. It all felt very safe. Walking back up was definitely the harder part :-_br/_ The afternoon was also nice, although visiting four different places was perhaps a bit too much given the time available - it felt like we had to rush from one place to another all the time. All the arrangements incl. taking the ferry from/to Auckland worked very smoothly. I warmly recommend having dinner on Waiheke after the tour ends - very easy to take a later ferry back to Auckland!

Loved this packaged tour to Waiheke Island. It gave me something to do alone while my friends had to work. Favorite part was by far the zip lining with EcoZip's team. Those guys were awesome. Wish I could have zip lined with them all day and night. It's addictive! Our tour guide and bus driver around the island was terrific and hilarious.

Had a great time. It was great that the Zip line had three stages so the fun lasted longer. We had great food and tasted some nice wines at the wineries. Particularly loved the last winery Mudbrick and could have stayed an extra hour there. Hindsight as our return ticket with the ferry allowed us to catch any ferry back until 11PM that night and the local bus was included int eh ticket we should have planned to stay until late once the tour finished.

We had 7 in our group and only 2 of us had ziplined. We all had a great time. Some of our group aren't very physically fit but they did great. The staff at EcoZip was fabulous and very patient. They were knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the island and enthusiastic about their jobs. The tour guide on the bus very great. He talked almost the entire time we were on the bus, telling us about the island and many interesting stories. The wineries were very good. Good wines and good lunch. We also visited an olive oil producer and that was very interesting and tasty. We were able to stay on the island but it began to rain about 2pm and no end to it so we didn't get to explore the very interesting looking village part. Next time! I would totally do this exact tour again if I'm ever in Auckland.

Everything about the tour was awesome! The Ecozip staff were very friendly and had a lot of information about the island and all of the plants/animals on it. The wineries were all very unique and lunch was surprisingly delicious and filling. The best part is the fact that your purchase includes a round-trip ferry ticket and all-day bus pass allowing you to stay and enjoy the beautiful Waiheke Island once the tour ends around 3PM. This was definitely my favorite experience while visiting Auckland.

The trip itself was 5 stars. Viator provided the wrong time to be at the pier for the ferry across the bay to Waiheke. Fortunately, we ran into the ziplining group and they made the accommodations for us they get 5 stars also, because of Viator's mess up, we had to take a cab to the Zipline compound which cost us 50 US. We were also able to catch up to our wine group.

Fantastic tour!! I missed out on the Ziplining unfortunately but the wine part was awesome! Went to 4 different producers wine, beer, olive oil and were able to stay on at the last winery as the tour ended, but the ferry goes every half hour. Most delicious wines and beers and food - and the scenery on Waiheke is just stunning! Also, our guide was really awesome - she has an excellent knowledge of the Island and its history and was really informative and fun. Definitely recommend - I reckon I'd go on this tour again!!

Really great day. Ticket collection was easy - ferry very modern and handled the swell in difficult conditions. Island is just beautiful reminds me of North Shore Maui in Hawaii. The zip lining was safety conscious and loads of fun. Great driver on our island tour very funny. 3 beautiful wineries particularly Mudbrick - great wine amazing views and olive grove and products. Amazing scenery and great town - fantastic way to spend a day in Auckland.

Wonderful wineries, the airline crew was AWESOME! The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars was the wine tour guide/driver was so rushed and rushed us out the door the last two wineries. So we actually stayed at the last winery because we weren't ready to leave and still shopping, he didn't want to wait. So we caught a can to the ferry terminal later. But overall a great day!
