Full Day Luberon Villages Walking Tour from Avignon

Visit some Luberon charming places as Fontaine de Vaucluse, a beautiful village by the river. Then go to Abbaye de Senanque, a majestic 19th Century Abbey surrounded by lavender fields. Very close is Gordes, a famous hilltop village made of local dry stone. Pursue the tour to the unique village of Roussillon, famous for its shades of red. Visit the Lavender Museum (included). Finally, head to Menerbes, a wild and quiet village, where you will have choice between several activities.

Starting at 9am, get ready for your 9 hour journey to Luberon places.

First stop at Fontaine de Vaucluse, and admire this charming village by the river Sorgue, and walk up to its spring, one of the biggest of Europe, down the cliff.

Then go to the Abbaye de Senanque, and take beautiful pictures of this typical 12Ith century Abbey surrounded by many lavender fields.

Your next step is Gordes. Visit this famous hilltop village made of local dry stones, and explore the flourishing Provencal market on Tuesday. 

Then head off to the Provencal village of Roussillon, which weaves its spell throughout the years, as the shades of ocher of the houses and the ground vary with the sunlight. Have a walk on the Provencal market on Thursday.

In the afternoon, visit the Lavender Museum (included) which will share with you its culture and traditional heritage of lavender craft.

Your final stop will be Menerbes, a preserved, wild and quiet village, made famous by Peter Mayle's novels. There you can choose what you want to visit: the « Maison de la Truffe et du Vin », the « Maison Jane Eakin », another painter gallery , an historic monument or simply have a drink.

At the end, your guide will take you back to your hotel or accommodation in Avignon.
