Private Day Trip to Nice and Monaco
Avignon, France
Nice, city of winter residence for European aristocracy since 1864, possesses a large heritage of Belle Epoque. The walk on the Promenade des Anglais, a large quay, will enchant you with a beautiful view of the Excelsior Regina Palace (1897), the Queen's Victoria residence, villas Il Paradiso and Massena, Majestic Hotel, Grand Palais, Negresco Hotel and much more.
Next you will visit Eze, a perched village which offers an exceptional view of the sea. You will also have the opportunity to discover beauty care with the purest of sensations at the Fragonard Perfume Factory, and to delight in their delicate fragrances of sweet almond and white flowers.
Visit of Monaco principality, reigned by the Grimalso family since the Middle Ages. Visit the old city and admire the 16 - 17th Century Palace and a Cathedral. Explore the Oceanography Museum which presents the richest collection of Mediterranean species. The exotic garden offers an amazing panoramic view of the sea.
Enjoyed seeing both Nice and Monaco. Our driver/guide was excellent. Unfortunately, a tyre blew out on the return trip and because no spare tyre was provided we waited 1.5 hours on the side of the road. Then we had to ride in the car, on the back of a tow truck to a Mercedes depot......... not an experience I'd want to repeat!

This by far was our most disappointing trip of our holiday. It was our fault for not realizing the tour pickup and drop off point was in Avignon which is 3 hours drive each way from Nice, Why? the tour is suppose to be of Nice and Monaco so why on earth would we want to be picked up from Avignon??? This makes no sense what so ever, consequently we had to cut our tour short by 6 hours because we were staying in Nice and the tour Guide came from Avignon to pick us up. Our tour guide was useless. He admitted it's been a while since he's done this tour so we consequently got lost driving through Monaco and spent a lot of our time in the car stuck in heavy traffic. For the life of me I cannot understand why he had to drive us into a car park looking for a parking space? which took over 30 mins. _br/_
Considering our tour is already cut short by 6 hours, and we spent most of our time stuck in a car in heavy traffic, looking out the window. Waste of money.

I can certainly recommend this day trip from Avignon to Nice and Monaco. Our guide/ driver was very pleasant and informative and we certainly saw a part of the world that we would not have seen without this trip. Highly recommended. Good value for money!

Anais was our tour guide and driver. She did an excellent job. She communicates well in both English and French. On our trip back to Avignon, my cousins and her played a "guess who" game that keep us awake and it was fun as everyone tried to guess who it was. We miss you, Anais!

This trip was just ok - nothing special; Nice and Monaco were a quick drive thru with an hour or so free time in each place. Wasn't worth the money spent and wouldn't have been worth the time except that it was a very rainy day and being stuck in a car for 6+ hours was reasonably acceptable given the fact that we didn't have to do the driving!
